Pros: Decent location Clean and stylishly decorated surroundings Awesome beds and bedding Balcony (very small but pleasant on a nice day) Cons: This place is a parking nightmare (more info below) I stayed at this hotel for a few nights while visiting family in Chicago. It is exceptionally clean and they even allow you to throw away your recyclables separately (I recycle at home so it was great for me to continue doing so on the road). The staff was friendly and helpful. The only bad thing I have to say about this hotel isn't exactly inside of the hotel. If you will be taking cabs and/or public transportation during your stay you can stop here. The parking situation at this place is horrid. Perhaps, if you are a part of some type of rewards program you can avoid this with an upgrade, but for everyone else parking can be as steep as $* a night IF they have space in their tiny lot for you. (There is only valet service.) Alternatively, you can park at the lot directly across the street for around $20 a night (There are a few different parking pass options for various prices up to about $* depending on what time of week it is and how many days). I understand that space is limited in the downtown area but that doesn't mean I enjoyed unexpectedly shelling out that cash. You should probably consider how long you'll be in the city and how many places you have to go and decide if rental fees plus parking fees would be more or less than just taking cabs wherever you'd like to go.

Our room was very clean and very comfortable -- especially the beds. Location was OK. Many restaurants were within walking distance; there was also a grocery store and drug store directly across the street. However, the hotel was not close to the Magnificent Mile or Navy Pier, the areas where we wanted to visit. Hotel did not have its own pool, but we were given passes to a health club in a nearby residential tower. That pool was very nice -- a large olympic-sized lap pool.
