My husband had bus. in San Diego and I went with him so we stayed here as it sounded good. When we got there after being up since 4:30 AM (eastern time) we wanted to get something to eat. The rest didn't open till 5:00 PM western time. We had to go out ot eat (which we didn't want to do). The susi bar was good but very noisey. The one day I had to eat in the hotel for lunch & it took almost 2 hours (even with me ordering a shrimp salad off the "specials" menu). I'm very under standing as I have 3 children that are servers. The night we went down to dinner @ 6pm we were given the lunch menu. The host told us they were starting a new menu next week. We left & went to OLD TOWN for some real food. There was NO HOTEL security. All the doors to the parking lots were open all night. The discription said there was internet service BUT failed to say there was a $*. a day charge for this We were there for bus. so he did need this. There was alot of HIDDEN charges.

The hotel staff was remarkable-very friendly and helpful. The room was perfectly clean and the bed very comfortable. Only drawback was no complimentary breakfast. We did eat in the Islands restaurant and the food was fabulous and well worth the price. The restaurant staff was very accomodating. Loved everything about the hotel.

The first night of 5 was a big disappointment starting with the concierge who was not very helpful in situating us after we arrived very late that night from a long air flight. Then we were placed in a room that reeked of cigarette smoke when we asked for a non-smoking room. Next day, complaining of the smoke, we were more than accommodated by the morning-shift concierge who gave us an upgraded room. The hotel itself is nice, but feels like it can use a big update, beginning with the doors of each room. The color is unappealing and old. Inside the room, it's much more pleasant and very clean. The cleaning service does a very good job, making the beds & totalling cleaning the bathroom. Unfortunately, internet service & parking require a daily fee.

Had a great time. The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel staff was very friendly. Very impressed that the entire hotel is "green" and all of the lamps were LED. Parking lot is very safe with round the clock security.

The hotel provided a great shuttle service to cart us around for free due to the fact we had no vehicle with us! Great pool area to lounge around and swim in! very friendly service. Great sushi bar restaurant in hotel.
