This building was not built up new for the Crown Plaza. It used to be another hotel before hand. The hotel staff was friendly. The airport shuttle was very fast and effective. The lobby area could have been designed differently in order to make better use of the vast amount of space. It feels empty in areas. The pool area was clean, comfortable, and well lite. I was assigned a room on one of the sides of the hotel. I didn't realize it until I saw on the hotel fire evacuation map on the door that these rooms are considerably smaller than the normal rooms. For these rooms the ammenities appear the same minus a sitting couch. The rooms on the ends of very small yet cozy. The hotel has almost every fast food restaurant one would want within walking distance. There are also a few sit down restaurants down the street.

Nothing wrong with the room except it was above the bar and it was noisy late into the night. Had to get up for an early morning flight. One of us went to the business center to check-in to their flight the evening before daparture. There were kids waiting to play games on the computers. They managed to get on one computer only to have kids breathing down their neck until they were done. I went down early the next morning to use the printer only to find a young woman sleeping at the computer. It wouldn't have bothered me but she did not appear to be a guest. She didn't have luggage but she had a jacket on. It seems like there needs to be supervison of the area so the business center is used for business and not games and sleeping.

The rooms were quite a disappointment for the rate. Carpet dirty, tub had chips and rust. Moved room once due to water leaking from the ceiling onto carpet. The pictures are not like any of the 3 rooms we saw..rooms were much smaller. Not very good views out windows. Backs up to an expressway, so if your room faces back you see a block wall. On the positive side, the staff was excellent. Very nice shuttle drivers and free shuttle to airport and to Park & Ride to catch public transportation downtown. Also some excellent restaurants within a bit of a walk.

I stayed at this hotel on 4-27-08 in between flights back to the East Coast. It is NOT what I would consider an airport hotel, as the cab ride with tip was $40. I can go downtown for a $43 flat rate. Staff was generally nice and the restaurant is pretty good for hotel food. However, housekeeping barged right into my room without knocking at 7 am! The hotel continues to be in a state of renovation. It is by no means finished. The hall carpet on my floor was dirty, which seemed weird for a Monday night. The weirdest thing, though was the room. I was in Room 206 at the end of a hall and the room was miniscule. It felt like some kind of work space that had been converted to a guest room. A curtain was hung in a corner to create a closet. The bathroom floor square footage was tiny: about 7 feet by 3 feet. The tub had been refinished at some point in time, but the finish had worn off in spots to show the cast iron. And there was yucky black dust matted on the vent register above the sink. It looked moldy to me. The bed was the good Crowne Plaza bed, but it was about the only thing I recognized from my frequent stays at other Crowne Plaza properties. All this for $***/night! When I mentioned the yuck in the bathroom, the front desk did take the $30 dinner charge off my bill. I appreciated that, but I know I will never go back to this hotel and suggest others will want to avoid it until the renovation is complete.

I was stuck in Denver three weeks ago because United cancelled my flight so I decided to stay at the CP at the airport. The shuttle picked me up for free and the staff greeted me at the front desk with a warm smile. The room was clean, the food in the restaurant was very tasty and all and all it was a very pleasant stay. If I ever have to stay in Denver I will return to this hotel.
