We totally enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza. We were in town for a wedding and anumber of other guests stayed here. Without exception, everyone agreed that this hotel was the best. We would definitely stay here again.

I wouldn't stay again. The rooms are relatively clean, but I expected a lot more based on the travel agency's and the hotel's website. There is no downtown shuttle, and it really is farther than you want to walk to get to most of the historical sites and all of the decent restaurants. There are also no movies to order in room, even though the hotel in-room guide says they are available. The beds were so saggy, I was in pain the next day. The pool is very loud as are the rooms themselves. The bolt on the door was broken, but we were so tired we didn't bother asking to change. The door also rattled anytime anyone is a nearby room opened or closed their door. Listening to someone yell "woo-hoo" all night wasn't much fun either.

We recently spent several days in the Richmond area and stayed at the Crowne Plaza Downtown. The hotel is very centrally located and within easy walking distance to many restaurants and Civil War sites. The hotel also provided free shuttle service around town and to the NASCAR race that we were in town for. I would definately stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Most of the staff was friendly.The person that checked me in was wonderful, kind, fantastic! C at the consierge desk was great. Everyone else was ok. The shower had black mold. That was disturbing. The stay was interrupted by a 2am fire alarm. This really was so disturbing as I was seeing my sister for the first time since her home burned down in its entirety. This was not the fault of the hotel. There was a person on the 14th floor that thought it would be funny to pull the alarm.

My husband and I were going to a concert. We splurged a bit on this hotel instead of going to something ruddy like usual and it was very nice. I walked in wearing heavily chained pants and a bleached, old, tacky Slayer shirt and the staff still treated me like they would have if I had walked in wearing full Armani. A couple things that bugged me was that when I got to the room the batteries in the t.v. remote were dead, but I called and they were up in five minutes with fresh batteries. Also, you had to pay for parking, which wasn't something we were prepared for. Over all though, it was extremely nice and very worth the money.
