This hotel is in major disrepair. I couldn't really find an area that wasn't in need of complete renovation. The tables in the dining room have the laminate peeling up on the corners. The wallpaper in the halls is bubbled and peeling. The carpets are stained. The elevator is a bit of a nail biter. Perhaps the most disturbing place in the hotel is the swimming pool. The entrance is cold and the carpet is permanently wet. The ceiling tiles are all water stained and sagging and there is an alarming amount of black mold on them. Paint is chipped and peeling. I could go on but hopefully you get the picture.

If this hotel needed renovations in 2008, you can only imagine what it's like now in 2010. Saturday night and the hotel seemed like a ghost town. But then again, that may have more to do with Danbury than the hotel itself. However, although the room was clean, the curtains were ripped, alarm clock did not work and the walls & doors need a coat of paint. This is a decaying building, questionably rated as a three-star hotel. It was worth the $* per night paid on Priceline.com, but the amenities usually afforded other comparable-class hotels are lacking. Prepare to pay an additional $*/day for internet service. Surprisingly, they do not charge for parking. Not many quality restaurants in the area...choose this hotel carefully.

We had trouble finding the hotel, and there were no signs pointing the way. The room carpets were dirty. But the front desk people were friendly, and the breakfast buffet adequate except for the stone-hard pancakes!
