The hotel was super clean, free continental breakfast, and friendly, helpful staff. Also had three good pubs/restaurants within 100 yards.It's directly across from SUNY, if that's what brings you to the area. Best part- received 60% discount through Travel agency. Even at the walk-in rate, it's worth every penny.

Hotel listed as dog friendy, sure, but the outside is dirty with garbage and cigarette butts everywhere. You really have to watch your dog every minute of your walk across concrete incase he tries to eat garbage. By the way, it's ALL concrete. There is no grass within several blocks. The hotel room was OK, what you would expect. Cleanliness was just OK - nothing bad, nothing great. The major problem with the hotel was the other guests, rather the staff's response...keep reading. There were several gentelmen staying there on an extended stay for a construction project. They set them selves up a "play" area at one of the entrances (the one closest to my room). There were a few coolers, bean bag toss game, and lots, and lots of beer. They were polite and seemsed like nice guys. They make a heck of a ruckus coming in at 11 pm - good byes, good nights, slamming doors, laughing...tough to sleep through. They all had to leave for work a 6 am the next morning. Again, good mornings, slamming doors, reving of engines, banging of tool boxes, more slamming of doors. Anyway, the real problem was with the hotel staff. I did not complain that night or that morning during the ruckus but mentioned to the front desk staff at check out that they shouldn't put other guests on that end and why. She refused to look at me, didn't even ackowledge my complaint, just handed me my receipt and walked away! I was mentioning very nicely to save some other guests a poor night's sleep...staff could care less. Too many negatives at this place, never again!

The manager was extremely friendly and helpful in getting us our rooms for early checkin (funeral). Rooms were very clean, quiet and was equipped with hair dryer and iron/board. The only problem with the second floor room was that the hot water in the shower took FOREVER to get warm - had to run for 5-7 minutes before you got hot water. Located right next to a Dunkin Donuts and several small restraurants, it made it convenient for a quick cup of coffee or lunch. For the price, I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!! Other

I stayed only one night at this Days Inn. My room was clean, however there was a slight damp/musty smell in it. I bought an air-freshener to remedy that. It was quiet and the complimentary breakfast was pretty nice; cereal, toast, bagels, coffee, juice. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We had a problem with one light in our room and the desk clerk came with me immediatly and fixed it, (turns out the cord was unplugged - the outlet behind the bed). The location was easy to find and there were lots of eateries and shopping nearby.
