Worst hotel ever!
02/18/2011I'm a frequent travel agency user and this is by far the worst hotel i've ever gotten from them. why is this still being offered on your site? ...
I'm a frequent Travel agency user and this is BY FAR the worst hotel I've ever gotten from them. Why is this still being offered on your site? I walked in, stood in line for 20 minutes, after 10 minutes a guy who spoke broken English came out from the back. The dude in front of me had a travel agency reservation too and the slow hand on the other computer heard his name, and he said, "Oh I canceled your reservation. I always cancel the reservations of the "No shows" starting at 11:00" (It was 10:30 by the way). So...Don't get here after 11 or your room will be resold? Meantime, the other computer guy calls me, oh joy. He says "Queen smoking." I say no, "No Smoking" my wife is allergic. He says "No..no..no...Travel agency screw everything up. I only have queen, smoking. The no smoking queens go fast." I complain, he says, "I get you king size no smoking $ 10 more plus tax." I took the room cause I've been driving all freaking day. He says go ahead and complain to Travelocity I no care. I said I would go to Ramada, he said, "Why? It travelocity fault" I said, "Because I'm standing in a Ramada" I am sitting in this room as I write this. Reminds me of a college dorm room in size and smells like an ashtray in a bus station that was rescued from a dumpster crime scene. WHATEVER YOU DO...DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL! and if Travel agency sticks you in here as they did us, pray my friend. This hotel deserves NO STARS and does not belong on this site. I am ashamed to be in here, & more ashamed that a travel site I trusted and used often stuck me in here.

We were actually surprised because the room had some things that were not listed on this site. Our room had a mini fridge and we also had free wifi. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was not big but not bad either. The indoor heated pool was very nice. The hotel was minutes from downtown and minutes from Rubyfalls. We would stay at the hotel again.

It was nice that this hotel was right off the highway before you actually get into Chattanooga coming from Illinois. We drove all day, so it was nice to pull into this place and get some sleep. However, my wife did not like the outside access at all. It was a somewhat dark area and did not feel like the safest place. The door for the room had a big gap in it that let noise and cold air in from the outside. The bed was not very comfortable. The swimming pool was closed when we got there, but it looked kinda gross (it was green, not blue like the picture!). The breakfast was standard, but the waffle machine did not work. Like everywhere in the south, it's close to a Waffle House. Also right across the parking lot from the Cracker Barrell. There were other hotels within sight that looked a lot nicer. This hotel did the trick for 1 night, but we won't go back. When I asked my wife what she thought about it for this review, she simply said, "it was gross there."

Nothing bad about this hotel, but nothing spectacular. One complaint is that the walls are paper thin. We could hear people next to us also ask for a room that doesn't face the hwy. Really noisey on the hwy side. They could do with new pillows and customer service training needs be a requirement. On a positive note, it's very close to some of the Chattanooga attractions (Ruby Falls, Rock City, etc.)"
