The hotel was very easy to find and conveniently located. The area was quiet. The grounds were well kept and the room was clean. We had a suite and loved having a kitchen. The free breakfast was served in a small, dim and dismal closet, and the staff replenishing supplies was rude. The beds were extremely comfotable, but the heat did not work in our room and we were very cold on two of the nights as it was February and rainy. When we complained about the heat, they just gave us instructions on how to work the heater. Nobody ever came to our room to check the heater. On the third night we asked the front desk for extra blankets. We were originally told they did not have any extra blankets because they were completely booked for the night. When I told the front desk person that the heat still wasn't working in our room and we had frozen the two previous nights, he went into a side closet and came out with two extra blankets immediately. Overall the stay was good and we would stay there again, but would ensure the heat worked in out room upon check in and I would insist upon moving to another room if it did not.

DAYS INN MISSION VALLEY in SAN DIEGO is the hell to stay in SD !!! ugly, dirty and noisy - not even employees are nice !! - nothing positive about this hotel, even at a low rate, it's just a "rat hole" - this is not a "hateful comment", it's just my fair opinion as you've asked.

Good location, good price, nice looking place, clean and comfortable room (loved the full kitchen)...BUT unfriendly front desk, $* deposit before using phone in room, breakfast room is a windowless unpleasant pit, breakfast mediocre.

I am on the last of my 4 night stay at this hotel and I want to go home NOW!!!! The horrible experience started on the 1st night of our stay when my husband was attacked by BED BUGS and ANTS and my brother-in-law and his family were swarmed with ANTS as well. We complained to the night manager (I've yet to get his name) and we were switched to a new room. We thought that would be the end of it however, TODAY, while playing in the bed with my 2-year-old, we started to hear a gurgle coming from the kitchinette sink and found that there is a horrible clog in our neighbor's room which is causing this horrible stench-y substance clog our sink. My room has been INHABITABLE for 2 HOURS! I have no clue what to do. I told one person at the front desk that I cannot have my 2-year-old roming the halls to stay out of the room and he said NOTHING! Please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!!! p.s. I have pictures AND video of the sink fiasco!!

I felt really bad because my husband had planned a great little get away for us and this hotel was a complete disappointment, after one week we checked out as fast as possible and got a new hotel. I slept in fear of someone breaking in, hot and cold were mislabeled in the bathroom, had to call about the free wifi and then it still didn't work, staff is very rude, manager would rather clean his car then help guests, visible large blood stains on the mattress, crime scene tape on the room down the hall, doors don't close properly, bug bites from the bedding, bleached bedding and towels, holes in the sheets, room service was unreliable, had to change rooms due to a large hole in the door and crack in the window, large cracks all over, had to wait to check in, front desk doesn't answer the phone, useless staff, no military discount, dirty walls and fixtures, strange people hanging around at all hours of the day and night, chewed gum on hotel room floor, nothing stays in the plugins someone was pushing a cart up and down the halls at 4 am. This was by far the worst hotel I or my husband have ever stayed in.
