so freaking disgusting!!!

this is one of the worst hotels i have even been in... i paid extra for an upgraded room and this is what i got: had no ironing board or iron even saying on website it did, bed sheets where dirty, wholes in carpet, coffee pot had mold & didn't work, internet did not work even after calling several times to repair, ceiling in bathroom falling in, entrance door had a crack to where you could see from the inside out, smelled like a dead animal, bed was like sleeping on a rock, horrible location and no security!!!! for your own safety i advise you NOT to stay here!!!!!!!

We stayed there for the Sugar Bowl. The staff was very friendly we had a problem with our toilet over flowing and they didn't hesitate to move us to a different room not in a bad area of New Orleans at all. I was really suprised the room was as decent as it was for the money. I would definately stay there again.

We stayed two nights. The room was OK but not very clean. There were signs it the room listing the price of items, towel, blankets, sheets etc. and stated a daily inventory would be made by housekeeping. Upon returning to the room after our first night several of the towels we used were not replaced. I called down to the front desk and they said I could come up there and get replacements. While I was at the front desk another guest was complaining that her room was dirty and nothing had been done by housekeeping. The manager stated he could check her out. This was late in the evening and the hotels were full due to Jazz Fest. He did not offer any solution -- change her room or get it cleaned. I do not known the final outcome as I left and returned to my room. However, even though our room was OK, it could have been us in this situation. Additionally, the breakfast bar was poorly stocked, orange juice was 90% water and coffee tasted like the grounds had been used more than once. For these reason I would not stay there again and could not recommend others stay there.

The write up said we would have a non-smoking room with two full size beds. The room smelled of smoke. The beds were smaller than standard full size beds. There was a coffee pot in the room, cups, sugar and cream, but no coffee. I picked up the coffee cups and there was mold on the bottom of them. I reached to get a kleenex out of the kleenex box mounted on the wall, there were no kleenex. We had bought some cokes. I went to put the cokes in the refrigerator and the refrigerator had a horrible smell, so we opted not to use it. We were disappointed in the motel.

Yea, it's an old hotel and the area is not the best in town but it was only about 10-15 minutes from the main roads in New Orleans. Though we did have to ask them to vacuum and the room was not ready as we expected, the bathroom and beds were clean and we had no problems staying there for the price for 4 days. We were there for the 1st and 2nd round of NCAA and most places were booked and those that were not were in the many hundreds just for a bed to sleep in. Afterall, we were not there to hang out at the hotel we were there for the games and to enjoy the New Orleans sights. Staff was helpful and very nice. We would not hesitate at that price to stay again.
