The hotel was not the cleanliest but my friends and I went in knowing this and purely picked it based on location! We got exactly what we were looking for. Just walked outside the hotel and we were on the beach! Three days of tanning and a cheap cab ride or short walk to the main part of south beach! Definitely would recommend to college students looking for a cheap place to stay for Spring Break especially bc we spent minimal time in the actual room!

Beautiful location wonderful lobby but once you get up stairs you are hit with a wonderful mildew smell and beautiful bleached stained carpet in the hallway once you get in the room the beach view is breath taking but the room was so nasty and smelly that thanks to the hotel for balancing the room with a nice view cause that was the highlite of the weekend was the freaking view

Ok where should I start....well if you like any type of quality when staying at a hotel don't stay here! I thought that the Days Inn couldn't be that bad, but it was! The room was not only outdated, but smelled, the ceiling popcorn was peeling off the ceiling, the bed had rough covers and the mattress was sinking in! The bathroom was even worse, the shower curtain rod was falling off the walls from either side so you couldn't close the curtain, the knobs to turn the hot and cold water fell off into the tub when trying to turn them! The overall room just made my skin crawl and made me feel dirty. Then don't be fooled about the continental breakfast....you would think it was free, but no, we got a bill after we ate for $*, what a mistake that was. The eating area again was totally dated and dirty, there was even mold growing on the ceiling!! At the end of the stay they charged us $* a night for having a safe available to use in our room, which we were never informed about so we could use it if we wanted, and who knows where it was in that room because I never saw it! Maybe it was in the creepy closet we never went in. The only nice thing about the hotel was that it was on the beach. So to reiterate, the Days Inn Oceanside is a dump!! It was so bad it was almost comical like something you would see in the movies. Spend the extra couple * dollars to stay somewhere nicer because it's worth it!

This hotel is frustrating. It could be so good but the owners will not fix the two ongoing problems. The bathrooms in the rooms need to be professionally upgraded with proper repairs. The East elevator works Ok albeit slowly. the West one is a lost cause, working sporadically. The whole elevator system needs a complete professional overhaul and upgrading. The existing system causes long delays. The rest of the hotel is very nice. The rooms are what you would expect of a typical 2 star and are pretty clean and bright with lovely pastel colors. It is an old hotel with the art deco appearance and is actually quite charming. The lobby is lovely and the staff there are the best. If you want a nice budget hotel in a good location and are willing to speak up for yourself, this hotel can be used.

As you can tell by my previous Review, I have enjoyed my previous visits to this location. However, i have just returned from a recent weekend visit, and I vow to never stay at this location again. 1st, Im surprised that the Elevator has passed inspection by any Elevator company. There are 2 elevators, and only 1 in use the entire busy weekend. The elevator doors open before the the complete elevator is actually level with the floor. 2nd, it look liked someone had peed in front of our room on the carpet. 3rd. Our Room was never given fresh towels, or vacuumed the entire weekend. We had to keep calling and asking for towels. 4th. none of the outlets opened during the times that they stated they would open. 5. When we tried to print our boarding passes, the printer didn't work. Not a huge deal, but when we asked the Front Desk attendant about it, he said that it hasn't worked in about 2 months, yet there is no note at the terminals to prevent us from putting our money to use the internet service, and printing services that do not work! 6. When having breakfast at the Restaurant located in the bottom level of the Hotel, none of the food service workers wore any type of hair nets/gloves while handling the food! 7. I don't think the pool has been cleaned or maintained since my last trip there. 8. The only positive is that most of the staff, expecially the bartenders at the Tiki bar are very nice, and our bed was extremely comfortable, even though we had to change our own bed linens!
