The location of this hotel was the biggest thing recommending it. The drive to Universal Studios/Isles of Adventure took less time than looking for a parking space. The hotel itself is low-average, with very few actual amenities. There is a continental breakfast, a cold breakfast with cereal and hard-boiled eggs, but you don't get that for free if you book through Travelocity and instead may pay $* each to eat - not worth it. Bring a bunch of cereal and a couple gallons of milk (there is a mini-fridge in each room) and some disposable bowls. Save some money. The location was quiet for being so close to a major theme park. The only drawback during our stay was that the supposed outdoor heated pool was definitely outdoors, but definitely NOT heated. We had been looking forward to that aspect and had even called the hotel directly to confirm it was functioning. Alas, it was not, but that was okay. For the price, this place couldn't be beaten, and if we visit Universal again, we will try for the same location. Definitely recommend using Travelocity or a similar site for booking, however, the price on site was almost 4x the amount we paid. Resort fee is low, though I'm not sure what we received for it. Overall good experience.

Soon as we checked in we had to report the ac unit in the room because it sounded like it was going to blow up, then they claim to have a heated pool and it was so far from heated that it wasnt even funny, the next day we had the knob for the hot water in the shower come right off the shower and then there were ants all over the sink and counter next we decided to go to the free breakfast they offer only to find out once we arrived there that we were not allowed to have the free breakfast because we used travel agent to book our room and not the hotel directly so we had to pay for our breakfast if we wanted to eat there. Later that night we were bothered in our hotel room by local pizza places sticking their advertisements through our door. Needless to say by the next day we were ready to just go home and will never stay at this place again nor will we suggest this place to anyone ever.

Worst hotel ever! The room was overall disgusting. The door had a crack in the bottom, so a lot of air and noise came in. There were sugar ants in the bathroom and sink area. The shower was disgusting and leaked. The fan in the bathroom sounded like a helicopter taking off. There were stains on the towels. The cleaning people did not clean the room. They remade the bed and put new towels. The tv only had about 10 channels in which half of them had no sound. The remote barely worked. The telephone was broken as well. There are solicitors every night shoving ads through every available spot in the door. It sounded like rats moving in the attic. The beds rolled every time they were sat on due to the tiled floors. There was NO dresser!!! So be prepared to use the refrigerator to put your things on. The breakfast was not self-serve. They make sure you are on a guest list for a complimentary breakfast which you can only get once per day. The people at the desk were rude. Anytime a question was asked, they seemed annoyed or bothered. Be prepared for a hidden resort fee when you check out. This place is not recommended.

This hotel is close to the main gate but I wouldn't say it was walking distance. The price was great. Don't try to check in prior to 4 PM - they're sticklers about that. The room had 2 double beds, a little refrigerator and an A/C unit that kept waking us up at night. The bath water was nice & hot. Unfortunately, there were 1 - 2 German Cockroaches in the vanity area at night and in the morning. But it was a decent place to crash after a long day at the theme park.
