My mother and I stayed at this hotel for three days. The staff was excellent. The hotel was very clean. There is an aicent wall that is preserved inside the hotel. There is a computer downstairs you have to pay for its use but it was good enough for me. The breakfast buffet was awesome watch out for the milk as it was not ice cold. Its a short walk up hill to the Acropolis but Id walk ten times that to see that sight again. The plaka area is a bit more of a walk. For dinner we would walk the opposite way from the acropolis. Just three or four blocks to the south and maybe two blocks to the west there is a very nice little pedestrian street where the locals go. The prices are way cheaper for a Gyro in the plaka for two on this little street. There is a wonderful bakery on the corner there. the hotel was amazing and the whole trip was amazing.

This hotel is very convenient for a visit to Athens. It is 5 minutes walk from the Acropolis and the new Acropolis Museum. Only a few more minutes and you are at the Plaka where there are restaurants, tourist shops where they sell both the cheaper souvenirs as well as very beautiful reproductions of some of the ancient pottery. The people at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We reserved just the room as breakfast is not included unless one pays quite a bit more. I think that breakfasts ran about 20 Euros which is a hefty price when there are a lot of restaurants around for half the price. The hotel is in a safe and nice part of town so I would recommend it most highly. We reserved the first two nights through Travelocity and unexpectedly has to extend another two nights. The Travelocity price was about $30. less than the price of reservations made at the hotel, therefore, it's good to plan ahead.

We had stayed in this hotel 2 yrs ago and the rooms were just ok, but location is sooooo good we wanted to stay there again. Much to our surprise they have redone/renovated all rooms. They were wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

06/27/2008Unbelievable breakfast buffet. hundreds of selections. exceptional staff. pool on rooftop has view of acropolis and monestary. close to metro for trip into center of city.
