Arrived in Chattanooga at noon. Didn't think we would be able to check in 3 hours early. Front desk advised that our room WAS ready, plus they upgraded us to the HIltonHonors flloor, comped us two buffet breakfasts, and the daily parking fee. We were in Chattanooga to run a half marathon and so we asked for late checkout the next morning (normal checkout is 11:00 am). We asked to stay until 2:00, and it was absolutely no problem. We also got handed hot chocolate chip cookies practically every time we walked by the front desk. Our room was a little on the small side, but for a one night stay and two adults, it was absolutely fine. Bed was very comfortable; room very nicely appointed. Free wireless with no glitches. Fabulous Neutrogena bath products. Big plush towels in the bathroom. Restaurant was open for breakfast at 6:00 am and served nice buffet - standard stuff, but good. Very friendly staff. Didn't use pool or exercise room or business center, although we "checked out" all three and all seemed to have everything one could need. Location was awesome - downtown near the river and within walking distance of restaurants, bars, Aquarium. Self-parking is easy so in and out no problem.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend event we were attending in Chattanooga. Upon check-in the desk clerk said he had to verify with housekeeping that our room was ready (we arrived around 5PM, check-in is 3PM) and asked us to wait about 5 minutes. After about 8 minutes, I went back to the desk clerk to see if our room was ready only to be told he'd have to check and asked me to wait another 5 minutes. After waiting the requisit amount of time, I went back to the clerk who apparently tried again to get ahold of housekeeping. Eventually we were switched to a different room. I would have expected this had we arrived before or close to check in time, but that was not the case. Strike One. After dinner, we went to the outdoor pool to relax by the beautiful gas fire pit only to discover that the pool closes at 10:00PM every night even though it is located directly accross from, and could be monitored by, the front desk. Strike Two. At breakfast the next day (10:30AM), we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. While waiting, I counted 5 empty yet unbussed tables that staff members kept passing without clearing. Strike Three. Lastly, the staff uses the guest elevators which made the elevators crowded and slow, especially around check out time. Strike Four. Although the rooms were clean, the lobby beautiful and the beds very comfortable, I'd think twice about staying here again given the price.

I took a chance on this one for a business trip and it is a truly beautiful hotel. They have all of the things you want, and everything appears to be brand new - right down to the Wolfgang Puck coffee maker and coffee. I still can't believe the price for such a wonderful place! I will be going here for all future trips to Chattanooga. The only *tiny complaint I have is, they charge you 7.00 to park in their open lot - 8.00 for valet.
