The hotel was in a great location adjacent to a moderate size shopping plaza with restaurants and entertainment. Our stay included a free daily breakfast buffet which was hot and fresh. The indoor pool and gym area was being renovated but available to use. The room was clean and quite large for a typical hotel room. The balcony is very small standing room only and the sliding door was broken but able to lock. Overall this is a great place to stay. Westsidebrada.

The hotel is really nice, this is the 2nd Doubletree we've checked into and they do not disappoint. There was a bit of a mix up when we checked in but it was ironed out and we even got cookies on our bed. Will most definitely book with them in the future.

My family and I stayed at the Doubletree in Phoenix, Arizona a week before our trip to San Diego and we were very impressed. I did my research and found that there were several great reviews at the Mission Valley location in San Diego. I was thrilled to find that the Mission Valley location would allow us to bring our family dog and according to their reservation agent(s), each room would come with a microwave and refrigerator. Prior to our arrival I called to confirm my reservation several times, and each time the agent reassured me that all the amenities were already included in my rate. The agents also told me that the beach and local attractions were less than 5 minute drive from the hotel. When I arrived with my family, I was extremely disappointed. The room was much smaller than the one we had in Arizona and that the amenities would be an additional charge per day. I was also horrified to see/smell pet urine every time I stepped into one of the elevators and disgusted to see dogs being allowed to use the bathroom in the hallways. Yes, I did bring my dog, but I would never travel with him to a hotel without being house broken. I will NEVER stay at another Doubletree location ever again--it was like paying to stay at the local pet store overnight!! YUCK!!

Wonderful hotel. The concierge people were exceptional. They went out of their way to help us. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The Red Line was right out the door. The beds were really comfortable.
