I stayed here recently as a convention attendee. Other friends chose to stay across town at the renowned Davenport Hotel. By the end of the week, my friends wish they'd chosen to stay with me at Doubletree! The level of customer service and individual attention to our needs we encountered was just tremendous. The concierge provided us with local information and assisted us with making dinner reservations, scheduling tours, and even mapped out a walking tour for one of our free afternoons. The hotel staff was gracious and accommodating! One of the shuttle drivers willingly took us to another hotel to fetch a friend and then took us all across town in time for our dinner reservations. He gave us his card and insisted we call him for a return ride when dinner was finished. I've never had such great service anywhere in the U.S.!! The hotel was older, but clean and beautifully furnished. Our stay was delightful!

Pros: attached to the convention center by a skyway, so highly convenient for convention goers like me. There are several hallways on each level, out from the center, so the foot traffic level is kept to a minimum. I'm a light sleeper, so quiet counts. The decor is the usual DT tasteful, with comfy beds. The bathroom had the curved shower curtain rod. There was a full complement of Neutrogena toiletries, and even bonus facial wash and sun-blocking facial lotion. Even with a full house, Housekeeping only fell behind once, and still made it before I returned for bed. The staff was professional, courteous, and friendly. Cons: No 'fridge or microwave. I guess business travelers eat out all of the time, but I don't. The conference was over four days/nights, so food adds up. The restaurants were too pricey for me, although I heard some good remarks. The bathroom didn't have a vent. Since I was by myself this trip, I just left the door open a crack. However, if I had a roommate, I wouldn't have been comfortable with this. There is no guest laundry. I priced the valet laundry; it would have been over $* to do my one medium-sized load! I walked over to the Travelodge nearby, and they gladly let me use theirs. While there, I learned that, for almost exactly the same rate, I could have had a room with a 'fridge, microwave, and included continental breakfast. Hmm. In summary: great for the business set, accustomed to three star amenities and paying for them. For a blue-collar gal like me, my priorities are elsewhere, but it was absolutely lovely and comfortable. I will likely try another place, but may be back here if the other doesn't fly.

The Doubletree in Spokane is a nice place to stay. Bed is very comfortable and lots of pillows. Our only complaint is the parking situation. Your choices are $15 to self park in a garage or $22 plus tax to valet. Spokane is a far cry from Seattle, Los Angeles or New York. I expect to pay these kinds of parking rates in bigger cities, not Spokane. We won't stay there again because of the parking rates.

We stayed here to check out downtown Spokane. I would be very careful walking around at night because it's not a nice area at all. The room itself was large and clean and the staff was very friendly. You have to pay $12 to park in the garage, which is absurd.

View was nice. Great beds, excellent restaurant, they really do try harder at Doubletree hotels. Baths need to be updated. Quiet room and clean. Concierge level charges for cocktails, not all do that. Would not pay more for that level.
