There was really no problem with the hotel itself, it just that they charged my credit card for the hotel, and then also added an additional room which I did not have. I had pre-paid for all of my trip thru Travelocity, so this was a problem that I had to deal with in getting corrected. They did credit my card back for original reservation, but still have not corrected the other room charge. I provided copy of itinerary when I checked in, so this should not happen.

Was in town for swim meet. The hotel was very full. On Day 1, we requested that our car be out front by 6 am. At 6:45, we were still waiting for our car. The valet service was extremely disorganized. There were about 20 guests in the same position as us. On Day 3, we went downstairs to grab a coffee around 6:30 am. NONE AVAILABLE. Are you kidding me?

I recently came to Buffalo to visit my daughter and stayed at the Doubletree in Downtown Buffalo. I was very impressed with the friendly employees. Everyone was super. The hotel is being remodeled so some of the areas were under construction but I am sure in a couple of months the dust of the remodel will be gone and this hotel will be 5 stars. I will be sure to book here again when I come to visit.

As a long term guest at the hotel I have found it to be a very homelike experience. All the staff has treated me with kindness and respect. They even treated me to dinner on my birthday. During my stay I have seen many positive changes in the hotel. They have updated most of the common areas and have started to remodel all the hotel rooms. They have a completely new chef that has been here for about 6 months now and has made drastic positive changes to the restaurant and bar. They are in one of the safer neighborhoods due to being located in the medical corridor with all the security from the hospitals. The Shuttle has been a life saver. Its Free within a 5 mile radius so I have been able to try out many of the local restaurants and attractions and didn't need to drive anywhere. The only draw back is that being on the medical corridor the parking isn't wonderful. But there valet service is happy to bring your car to you within a 10 - 15 min waiting period when you call down for it.

Nice hotel but the food leaves alot to be desired. No parking must use valet especially since it is a bad part of town. I ordered a Cobb Salad for dinner the first night and they were out of hard boiled eggs and when it came it had a pile of guacamole on the side!? The next night I ordered a steak and they were all out of steak!! There is no where else to go to eat around there except for hospital cafeterias.
