  The hotel room was very respectable, spacious, and clean. We were able to set our own room temperature very easily. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We were disappointed, however, that the room didn't have the advertised microwave oven and that the room rate did not include the usually provided continental breakfast the following morning (you had to pay extra). Would definately recommend this hotel though.

  I travel through Bloomington quite a bit and my usual hotel was sold out so I ended up at the doubletree. The rooms were older looking than I expected. The front desk staff wasn't very friendly. When I got to my room there was a housekeeping rag behind the bathroom door, like some housekeeper just forgot about it. . . After finding the rag I seriously questioned the cleanliness of the bed. The mattresses also weren't very comfortable so i didn't sleep all that well. The internet also didn't work so I wasn't able to get my work done for the evening. It was ok for a last resort but not my first choice. The stay just wasn't worth the $*I paid.

  My stay at the Doubletree was uneventful. It was quiet and the staff performed their tasks seemlessly. I enjoyed the stay. The renovation of the hotel was well done and it was very clean.
