The hotel was very nice, the staff was friendly, and the price was very decent. If you have the choice, please book directly through the hotel and not Travel agency. I had a terrible time with getting the room preference that I chose and the only thing that I was told is that the policy of Travel agency is that no room preference is guaranteed. The roaming gnome is a LIAR!! Book directly through Doubletree!

01/02/2010We stayed for 8 nights over the christmas and new years time frame and was very satisfied with the qaulity of service and the overall room and price ratio.

Although we arrived late and left early, we enjoyed our short stay at the DoubleTree. Room was on 8th (top) floor overlooking the expansive atrium. Fortunately, most of the guests had taken their parties into their rooms for the night. Travel online rate was a great value for what we received in the room package. I highly recommend staying here if you are stopping in northern Atlanta.

My stay at Doubletree Suites was by far the worst hotel experience of my life. This was my first time staying at this particular property and I had high expectations as I have stayed previously at other Doubletree hotels for both business and pleasure. When I arrived, my check-in was delayed by 30 minutes due to the desk clerk being unable to find someone to let him know if the room was ready (note this was after check-in time at 3pm). When we got to our room, the towels in the bathroom were wet (possibly due to the humidity in the room) but we had to call to get fresh towels. Also, we did not have a spare roll of toilet paper so when we had to call to the front desk to get another roll of toilet paper - we were told that the room with the toilet paper was locked and that the bathroom was also locked - so no toilet paper was available. After expressing my disbelief, the front desk clerk indicated she would send up a box of OPEN tissues from the front desk. 5 minutes later she called back and said no one was available to bring it to our room so could we come down and get it. I can honestly say that I have never stayed at a full service hotel that a) asked me to accept an OPEN box of tissues in lieu of a roll of toilet paper and b) asked me to come down to the front desk to retrieve it. Poor customer service - start to end.
