Our stay at the DoubleTree hotel in Lexington, Kentucky was a very pleasant stay. The rooms were very clean with top of the line supplies. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay at the Lexington location again on a return visit.

We went down on Valentines Day Weekend! We got a Sweet and it was awesome! upon arrival they gave us thoose cookie and they are so yum yum good! We had the most pleasant stay here at the Double Tree than any other hotel we have satyed in Lexington! Loves the Jacuzzi tub that was in our room! Over all this in my opinion for the price is the nicest hotel in town!

We loved the location of the hotel. Very convenient to everything. Very nice amenities. Great price for what we got. However, the way the inside of the hotel is set up all of the doors of the rooms face inward to an open lobby with birck walls and stone floors. The lobby is a very active place due to the number of ballrooms/business meeting rooms. One of the nights we were there two wedding receptions were taking place. There was excessive noise that echoed and carried into the late hours of the night. Our room was also right next to the elevators which ran all night due to the nature of the activities which in turn kept us up. The air conditioning unit was also a source of increased noise within the room. Had some issues with the toilet/water pressure within the bathroom. Maintenance was very helpful and came immediately, but it would have been nice to not have to fool with a maintenance man in a room 3 times in one night.

The hotel was very comfortable for my son, my dog and myself. The staff was friendly and courteous. The interior of the hotel was beautiful and easy to get around. It sits back from the road so you have to pay attention to the street sign. It was a very pleasant experience.

First the good: I found the location of the hotel to be convenient to everywhere I needed to go and hotel's front desk was very friendly and helpful. The not so good: do not expect free breakfast or free wi-fi in this hotel. When I was comparing hotels, I chose this one because the rate for the suite was great, but, the comparison page listed all hotels the same, i.e. pet friendly, breakfast, high speed internet, neglecting to mention that unlike other hotels this one did not offer wi-fi and breakfast for free. It will cost you an additional * per day for wi-fi and more than that for the breakfast. Conveniently, the Panera Bread is located within a walking distance from the hotel, in the same shopping plaza, so we opted for breakfast there every morning. The hotel is built as a square with a hollow middle, and while the inside of the hotel looks very beautiful and houses a bar and some meeting/conference rooms, the inner layer rooms have no windows, and those that do have "balconies" are facing inside the hotel. If you like to go to bed early or just do not like the noise - this hotel is not for you. I happened to be in the inner layer room and every evening there was noise from the bar area and additional noise if any of the meeting rooms were rented for some party. Having no windows left me a little disoriented to time. My least favorite part, however, was housekeeping. Out of 5-night stay housekeeping forgot to restock our coffee twice, left cleaning supplies in our room twice and didn't pick up trash once. And just FYI, I left tip for housekeeping EVERY day as I usually do when I stay in any hotel. This was the worst housekeeping I've seen in years. In addition, the carpet in the room can really use shampooing, the bottoms of my white socks were black by the end of one day. The elevators are not air-conditioned, we stayed here in July, and it is hotter in the elevator than outside! Make sure you are getting everything you need/like in this hotel because you will not be able cancel your reservation without losing your money. More expensive does not mean better in this hotel's case.
