I booked the W to celebrate my 27th birthday and go all out, spending 700 a night on a room, the bouncers at club Wall treated me with such disrespect, yellled at me, told me my ID was fake, called the police on me. Finally after 90 minutes held by Wall security while the entire line stared at me being badgered by the police we were told my information "checks out" and we can now enter the club. I was so disgusted with the way the staff and the hotel treated me, I checked out immediately at 3 Am and went to stay at another hotel. The drinks and food not only rediculously overpriced but on top of it they add 20% gratuity for their awful service. If there is a celebrity when you go expect to never receive the food or drinks you order. JUST an overall AWFUL experience. I wasted an entire day there. They really need to readjust their motto, "whatever you want whenever you want it" to "whatever you want you'll never get it- go somewhere else"

Very nice, rooms all have an ocean view. We have stayed at the Loews and The Ritz in South Beach and this one is better. My only complaint was the pillows are too squishy and our sliding door would not lock, but we were on the 8th floor and unless you are spiderman it was not a problem.

Do not go to this hotel if you expect high end luxury service. The security and management at the W Hotel are an embarrasment to the hotel industry. There was recently an incident on the hotel property and their response was apalling. The security manager was inattentive, unresponsive, and unconcerned about my well-being. They offer no services in a service-oriented industry. Besides the terrible experience on the property, getting off the property was just as bad. The valet took 20 minutes to get my car (and no one else was waiting) and their machine was not working so they insisted I pay cash. I just wanted to leave and never return! I have been to W Hotel's in the past with good experience. This one needs a LOT of work!
