If this place was newly rennovated, I hate to see what it looked like before. The floor was so soft in some places that I thought I would fall thru. The room smelled like really old cigarette smoke that someone tried to cover up. Let's no forget that the rooms are not at all sound proof and the 4 AM garbage pick up in the neighborhood sounded like the truck was in the room for 1/2 an hour straight. If you are looking for their "continental breakfast" get ready to wait for whenever they decided to serve it and then look forward to a stale, hard bagel, or a week old chocolate muffin PERIOD. Coffee, powdered creamer, no milk. Our only saving grace was the McDonald's in the parking lot. This room was only worth MAYBE $50 and not the $75 we paid a night. Oh, I forgot about the front desk. Be very prepared to wait. The guy at the front did not even know that they had cribs (we have a baby and I called online travel the night before to check) and I am thinking that maybe they went out and bought one, because it took them 5 hours to get us one. My advice, PAY THE EXTRA AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I had a great time while was visiting some family with my friends. I decided to stay at Econolodge, Hillsboro, a bit skeptical but from what I had heard they had new management and remodeled their rooms so i thought i try the place out. To my surprise the new rooms are great, and comfort level in dealing with the staff and housekeepers as a breeze. They have done a great job with the hotel and staff and i like the location becasue it is close to where my family is at and in downtown area so we can walk over to restaurants and local bar for a drink. I highly recommend this hotel if you haven't been there lately.

I was only disappointed with the limited handicap rooms. I was traveling with my two elderly parents and it was difficult for them to use the bathroom accomedations and they had to step up into the room. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated and the owners were very accomidating. I would stay there again when in Hillsboro.
