We knew nothing about Lima and booked late so our hotel options were limited. Fortunately for us the El Condado was not a bad choice. The rooms were large and clean and the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The nightly rate was very reasonable for the rooms we had. The hotel is very convenient to the major entertainment and shopping districits of Miraflores. The location was a little noisy but except for Christmas Eve the noise was subsiding around 10 p.m. A very nice breakfast service was provided every day in the downstairs cafe. The cafe is only arranged for groups of four and we had a group of five so we were a little crowded but that was our only major complaint. Overall we had a very pleasant stay.

We moved to the El Condado , with 2 days remaining on our reservation at the Hotel Ducado,on Fanning St,( a horrible nightmare ) and were pleased with the change.We spent the remaining 6 days of our trip at the El Condado,and would recommend it to anyone. It's central 1 blk off Larco ,accross street from a super market ,clean , quiet and very old Spanish motif . Very good Breakfast buffet,lots of fruit,juce ,cut up fresh fruit,rolls and breads,and bacon and scramble eggs , with lots of good coffee , excellent. Free internet on their conputer.

My daughter and I stayed in Lima, Peru 2 1/2 weeks visiting family and sightseeing. Hotel is centric to all amenities and hotel personnel is great. Very nice people. The only thing we didn't like was the noisy restaurant on the first floor by El Suche street, adjacent to the hotel. We were on the 8th floor and sometimes the noise kept us up till 3 am. Then we moved to another room, up 2 more floors and the noise sound got lesser, but not by much. At one point I wished I stayed there one week and moved to another hotel the following weeks, but it would have been such a hassle. We didn't want to risk higher hotel prices somewhere else.
