Rooms are all spacious suites, comfortable and clean. Avoid the few 1st floor rooms because of proximity to ballroom & corridors where there is almost always a function going on. Upstairs rooms are quiet. Breakfast is "to-order" and more than ample in variety, quality and quantity. Only drawback is there are no nearby inexpensive restaurants, but Greenbrae and SanRafel centers are a short drive. Bed is very comfortable - just firm enough. The extra fold-out couch-bed in the separate living room has a thin mattress and isn't so comfortable.

If you have children and are planning a trip to CA I would definitely consider this hotel. It was very clean and staff was wonderful. The made to order breakfast every day saved a ton of $. For kids who skateboard there is a free state of the art skateboarding park right up the street with benches to sit and watch them(you have to bring your own eqipt). It was just minutes to everything- redwoods, shopping, highway, and just a few minutes from San Francisco over the bridge. Very safe place for children. The pool was clean and not crowded. Overall I am usually very picky but I had not a single complaint with this hotel.

While this hotel is nicely appointed, the staff can ruin your stay. First of all, I booked a king room, but got two twin beds (not known till I went inside the room) and it could not be changed despite the hotel being half full. Upon checking in, I was asked to provide a credit card and ID though I had pre-paid. Okay so far since you may have incidentals. The first night I used the phone for local calls with no problems.
The second night I could not dial out at all--even an 800 number. I called and the clerk who checked me in first tried to convince me that I didn't know how to use the phone. Then, upon poking around, he tells me that the phone was switched off because I had no credit card on file. I told him I was positive that I gave him this upon check-in but got a "too bad" response. Imagine this. They turn off your phone without telling you, tell you that you are too ignorant to use it, then ask you to walk down to the lobby again so they can swipe your card again.
You will get nickled-and-dimed for everything. They charge $* for a local call plus "cost" which in my case was $* for a twenty-minute local call. They even charge for 800 calls (minimum of $*) and for calls using your credit card. On top of everything I had a room next to an elevator. The cables must have run right next to the room and created disconcerting noise all night long.
Stay elsewhere unless you like a poor staff and being nickled-and-dimed for everything.
