Was to be a non-smoking room, but there was a lingering smoke oder. The clocks in the room were not set at the correct time. I did not consider it a 3-star and will keep that in mind when looking in the future. Was not a 24 hour lobby which could have been a problem. Actually was in the morning when a hotel guest who could not get into a room was sleeping in the lobby which was a bit embarrasing for all.

July 23,2010 The morning Staff was friendly. The room have a bad smell, the bed was broken on the left side, the toilet did not flush and the air condition did not work well. The fire alarm kept going off, I call the front desk and staff was rude when answered the phone about the alarm. The staf did change to another room it was much better room.I would not use this Hotel again because You can get one better across street for the same price. This place is for customers that is going to be there for weeks. The room is small.

When I arrived at the hotel in Jackson, Mississippi, at approximately 10:30 pm. on January 11, 2010 I was advised by the desk clerk that the city water lines had ruptured and the hotel was without water. I would like to commend the clerk for her assistance. By the time I arrived she had called other local hotels and located a room for me and had contacted the travel agency staff to facilitate transfer of my reservation. This was a tremendous help to me considering the hour.

The entire place (lobby, halls, elevators, and rooms) smelled like a combination / awful mix of pet, & body odors. The furniture, bedding and carpeting have seen much better days. Co-worker and I had checked into two rooms and could not leave without forfeiting room charge to Travel agent. Besides it was late evening and we had an early morning flight to catch. I could not bring myself to pull the covers down. I found a blanket in the closet that appeared to have never been used. I placed it on the bed and laid on it and put a towel over the pillow covered by the bedspread so as to not put my head on the smelly bedding. I was going to go out to get some frabrize but there appeared to be less than ample parking as people checking in were complaining about finding a place to park. Since I had a parking space I did not want to forfeit it and thus went back to the room. I was lucky if I slept for a total of two hours. Woke up with a headache that cleared up after I left that awful place. I presume it was the awful smell. My co-worker's room AC was not working very well. Not good in the deep south in late July! Noticed on our way in the outdoor pool water was merky and seem unclean. Stayed in two other hotels on our business trip and this place couldn't hold a candle to this joint. Seemed to be a struggling hotel that could not afford proper upkeep. Gentleman at the front desk said the place had formerly been a Holiday Inn Express or Marriot previously. Also seemed like a bad neighborhood too, although nothing bad happened. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!!
