We stayed at the Fairfield Inn In Revere/Saugus, MA. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and we had no major issues while staying there. The only issue that arose was that the front desk phone ringer was off one night and we couldn't reach anyone to have the hotel shuttle pick us up at the train station. They did compensate us for the cab, so we feel they did what was necessary to rectify the situation.

Great value, great location, and super clean and comfortable. We had our own car so being out of Boston a ways was very convenient for us. And yet, it was a very short car ride back into the middle of Boston. The beds here were wonderful and so was the cleanliness. The maid left us a cheery note each day, telling us to have a pleasant stay. The four pillows per bed were super. We would not hesitate to recommned this location to anyone. Only one minor concern - the elevator was very, very slow.

The shuttle to the airport only takes you to the metro, and there I found out that you have to pay $* for a one way fare and that you have to allow for at least 45 minutes to get to the airport. Additionally, you have to lug your luggage up the stairs and down to the other side to catch the train going in the right direction, then upon alighting at the airport station, you have to again go up the stairs to the other side to catch a shuttle bus to the airport. From there, you have to go all the rounds of the terminals to get to your air carrier, and then AGAIN you have to go up the stairs to the departure area. A taxi cab ride is about $35, which is far more than the manager quoted me. In short, if you have kids or heavy luggage, this is NOT the way to travel. Avoid this hotel if convenience to the airport is your consideration.
