What a fun, welcoming, and good hotel this is. Simple, minimilistic decorations and interior. Friendly and warm staff. The hotel is also very environmentally leaning, meaning they try to minimize your carbon footprint with recycling bins, reuse of towels, energy saving initiatives, etc. The best part is they have 3 bikes for you to borrow - not rent - on a first come first served basis. Very cool. Good price in a getting better by the day location. If you are looking for the touristy San Fran, this is definitely NOT the hotel for you. If you want more of the real experience of the city, definitely consider this a GREAT VALUE. Recommend.

This place is a good cheap place to stay. Its in a bad area of town but the homeless seem to stay to themselves so long as you dont acknowledge their presence or even look at them. For the price you cant beat this place. Although its not really close to the major attractions its still nonetheless within walking distance of Union Square and the cable cars the BART and the buses as its a block away from Market. But I would advise using cabs if possible which will eat up your savings on the cost. But this hotel is simply in a very bad area plagued with homeless and vagrants. Its also very sparse and utterly lacking in any sort of charm. But again its cheap and clean. Just dont expect much.

My partner and I stayed here for a night and had a good stay. The place has excellent (CHEAP!) room-service options, great design in the rooms, was scrupulously clean, and had a friendly staff. That said, we paid $160 after tax for a closet of a room with no fridge in a spooky neighborhood, and they charged me for parking after the Travelocity website said they wouldn't. Great for a last-minute hotel option, but I would probably look elsewhere for a vacation stay.

tralveling back to San Fransisco for my birthday celebration seeing an concert. Booked into thesame hotel we used for new years. The hotel is located on 7th street about 2 blocks from market. The new federal building being there moved some of the seedier types out of the area, it IS better than a couple of years ago. The hotel has parking- about $* a day. Check in is easy, small lobbey with a photo booth to take snapshots of you as an guest. They didn't have the 2 doubles so to make up they waived our parking fees. The rooms have central heat. they are clean and comfortable with reading material stashed at the end of the beds. The bathrooms were unique with an washing station on the toliet(?). Water pressure was low in the shower. The rooms have a mini safe that you can use. convient. I did enjoy my stay and becouse i usually go to the bay for shows mostly i recommend this hotel. the staff is frendly and knowledgable.
