  I'm a travel nurse and stayed at the Grand Motor Inn for 8 weeks. Upon arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome. The entrance is nicely decorated. The room rate is very affordable. My room was excellent with a clean, warm and inviting appearance. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have encountered in a hotel setting. The microwave and refrigerator was clean and in good working order. Always hot water for showering and plenty of soaps, shampoo and towels. I found the onsite laundry area for guests very convenient. There was some renovating of the rooms being done but the noise level of the workers was minimal during the day and non existant at night. The outdoor pool area could have used some potted plants or something but the water was clean and refreshing. The courtyard was well kept and clean. The lounge has a nice sports bar atmosphere, a lot of fun. Drinks were appropriately priced. The restaurant food was very good and prices were appropriate. I can't say enough about the friendly hospitality of all staff. The staff went out of their way to make sure my every need was met. There is a large banquet room. The hotel is located near the movie theater, bowling ally, arcade, and shopping. I would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone whether traveling with a family or for business. I look forward to comimg back to the Grand Motor Inn.

  I planned to visit Charlotte for Nascar Coca Cola with my friends in Oct 2008 & asked one of my friend who frequents to charlotte,for an affordable & Clean hotel,he gave me three motels reference but when I called for rates check,I found this motel rate to be the best and booked my room. Beyond my imagination my stay was wonderful,we were three & Manager did not charge me for extra person.Location is wonderful very close to Airport & down town. If someone wants a clean & a hotel with economy rate,I would strongly recommend this Mote.
