The staff at this resort are extrememly friendly and helpful! I never felt uncomfortable asking for something. The bartender is amazing! We had great live entertainment a couple nights and a nice beach BBQ. Unfortunately, I wasn't clear in how small the resort was so I was expecting room service and multiple restaurants plus a swim up bar, but honestly I didn't miss those things once I got there! In fact, we went over to Sandals to take a Catamaran ride and it was so wild and crazy there I was glad we weren't staying there. Just be open minded at this resort and know that it isn't a Sandals, but they will take very good care of you! I did like that anytime we were going for a walk on the beach or going away from the resort they took our name and room number for security purposes. They watched out for us! Just be careful of the hagglers - they are very annoying! :) We didn't know until fter we arrived you can get a mini fridge in your room for an extra cost that has bottled water, soda, beer and rum. That I would have liked :) We went off season and for a couple on their honeymoon we spent so much time relaxing with each other. We really enjoyed each other's company and met some wonderful people from all over the globe! We did have a couples massage which was nice and got a complimentary bottle of champagne at the end.

My friends got married at the Sandals Resort. A few of us on a budget decided to stay at the Pineapple and I am so glad I did. It was a more friendly and intimate resort. I loved it. The people were super nice from the front desk staff to the bar tenders/wait staff and the housekeeping staff. Grounds were kept super nice and the beach was amazing! We were given a complimentary room upgrade to the beach side cottages. I cant recommend this resort enough!!!

I loved my stay even more the second time around. I came down in Feb 2009 and this time in Sept 2009. The staff remembered me and they remembered my name. * and * at the bar were awesome and made drinks for us all day and night! * was an amazing waitress and went the extra mile in making sure our table was made extra special! :) This trip was just wonderful and I will be back to the Grand Pineapple for sure! * the Manager and * are just amazing also! Sept is a slower time of year but you are alboe to get some amazing deals from the locals! If you are down in Negril make sure to say hi to *. Be sure to catch up with * (local) on the beach for a glass bottem boat ride! He is a great guy. When you see those mentioned above tell them * from Vermont sent you! You won't regret you stayed here.

We went here because our friends got married on the beach. The wedding was beautiful, the beach was pretty nice and the hotel was nice, not overly fancy by any means. However, there were two cock roaches in our bathroom, they didn't seem to do anything about. We paid for a beachside cottage and got a regular room at first. We weren't compensated for staying in a regular room the first nights even though we paid extra for the cottage. The pool was small and you had to cross the street to go to the pool. No bar on the poolside so you either had to cross the street or wait 30 minutes or more for them to get your drinks for you. My husband accidentally lost our room key with the safe key on it and they charged us $ for it! The bartenders weren't overly friendly but they got a little better when we tipped them. It didn't feel like they really wanted to serve us. The food was awesome, different themes every night. It was an ok experience, but we won't ever be going back there.
