Our family went on a Carnival cruise out of Jacksonville and stayed at the Hampton Inn Downtown the night before the cruise. The location gives you great access to the water taxis over to the Landing for a great dinner and shopping. The rides on the taxis are beautiful at night. My family enjoyed it greatly. The next morning we had a great breakfast before going to the port. We accidentally laft some clothes in our closet but 7 days later after the cruise, I called the GM and he found our clothes and FedEx'd them to us that very day. Great rates, great staff, great room, great location, great breakfast, great service. That was our experience and we will be back for a Jaguars game later this year.

My son and I went to the Jags/Chiefs game last weekend. This hotel was almost perfect for what we needed. The hotel is only two blocks from the waterfront. You simply walk to the water taxis and boat over to the Landing entertainment complex and the Stadium. It is the best buy in Jacksonville. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, The room was great. Each room has a 42' flat screen TV, nice! The breakfast bar was nicley put together. It was just a great weekend and the hotel was fantastic. I stongly reccomend you save money and stay here. We will.

My wife and I stayed one night, the room was clean and the staff very friendly. The location was close to the kids science museum and the tram to downtown. In short the hotel was OK but nothing special, except it was the lowest price in the downtown area.

Nice size room, very clean and comfortable, seemed to have been recently redecorated. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Nice large flat screen TVs! The hotel is within easy walking distance of three of the Skyway stations, which connect to the free trolleys which go throughout downtown, so it's very easy to get around to the Riverwalk, stadium, and numerous other points of interest. Ask the front desk for a map of where all the stations and stops are. The hotel is just a few blocks from the Museum of Science and History and the Maritime Museum so you can easily walk there. While walking around the area to the museums and transportation stations, I felt very safe.

Hotel well situated for downtown Jacksonville but it needs work. Fron desk staff very good as I changed room twice (mildew smell in first floor rooms) and the were very curteous. Breakfast was the usual Hampon Inn menu; hiwever, staff needs an attitude adjustment.
