We just stayed here for four nights. The room was clean. The bed was great and the bedspread didn't creep me out the way hotel covers usually do. The breakfast was pretty good. I noticed they had breakfast-to-go in bags on the front desk counter in case you didn't have time to sit down in the morning. They also had cookies and a savory item hot in the evening. There was always complimentary coffee, tea and cocoa available. Each floor of the upper floors had food and drink vending with the ice machine. I like a soda when I wake up and I have found too often that hotels don't have drink vending. Whenever we asked for the shuttle, there was no wait at all. It would roll up in no time. The hotel staff was incredibly polite. Two things that I did not like were the internet service and the hot tub. I had no trouble getting on the internet but I would get kicked off after a minute. I called the help number and with assistance I would easily get back on only to be booted off again. I've never had this kind of trouble at a hotel. During the rest of my trip I was able to get on the internet at other locations with no problem. Lastly, the hot tub was a mess. It smelled funny. The hottest water came out of the bottom and it would burn your foot if you got near it. And the whole thing was covered in foam that just kept multiplying no matter how much you tossed it out. The only appealing thing about the hot tub was that the water was really hot and not "safe" hot.

This hotel was one of the nicest I stayed at in quite awhile.As I am from Florida and stayed at several resortsI didnt expect a resort type place.I was very impressed.I arrived at midnight to a nice gentleman who quickly checked me in.My room was cleanroomyup to date.The bathroom far better than Disney.Very nice with plenty of room to maneuver around.The bed was the best hotel bed I ever slept in.I enjoyed the cable TV.Even the curtain was nice over the window.Being from Florida I really enjoyed the heater.I just didnt have time to swim even though I brought a swimsuit.The pool looked inviting.I appreciated the computer in the lobby as I found that I needed to use it to check my things at home.I enjoyed the continental breakfastmuch more than I would ever expect.This hotel made my trip to be one of the best I trips I took.The weather was quite awful but you wouldnt have known it from inside the hotel.The hotel was close to the airport and many stores and restaurants.I would definately recommend Hampton Inn Portland-Airport.Next time I come I know I will stay here again

We stayed for just one night. The staff was courteous. Our first room was near the elevator and very noisy. The staff was gracious in moving us to a quieter location. The pool is lovely, but was overrun with children who splashed us, jumped on us, and generally created mayhem. Because it's so small, 3-6 wild children can easily ruin a nice night by the pool. The pillows were brutal and I hardly slept a wink, but the bed was okay and the room clean. I would recommend a stay here, if you got the room at the right price. The location was convenient.

Overall, this was a pleasant stary. The room was extremely clean, which is of utmost importance to me. There was work being done so I could not access my room without driving around to the back, but this was not a major problem. I have generally been pleased with Hampton Inns.
