Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies at front desk at checkin. A REAL breakfast, eggs, sausage links, biscuit, gravy w/sausage, etc. They even have bagged TOGO breakfast for those checking out. Great location, walking distance to Cabelas, Chilis, Walmart, came from the I35 North, after exiting Toll Road around Austin back onto I35, was next immediate exit. Rooms have high speed internet, big flat screen TV, my room had the king bed, was very comfortable. Clean rooms, had an extra door security feature that I really liked, kind of a metal plate in the door facing that provides a stronger protection than the chains that you used to see for opening the door to see who is there. Fitness room had 2 treadmills, 1 eliptical, and some free weights. Treadmills and eliptical had TVs mounted on them, and headsets with disposable ear pieces so that each user could listen to their own TV program without interrupting others. I checked out after 1 night, and attended a meeting nearby. During the meeting, icy conditions caused potential travel problems, so I went at lunch to reserve a room again. Staff pulled up my prior stay from the night before, checked me in even though it was prior to checkin time, got me a new room, and put it all on the same receipt, which really helped when submitting my travel. Staff was great. I also liked that the hotel was just a little off of the interstate, from a security standpoint. Not too far to be of inconvenience though.
