  Have stayed here 4 times now and never had to deal with anything but polite staff. Rooms more than large enough (you can easily move around in them) and fits 4 people well. Easy walk to downtown so parking is a breeze. Pool and hottub in good shape and clean. Can honestly say never really paid much attention to state of breakfast room. More than enough options to be filling despite rude people who refuse to clean up after themselves. Over all once again had a great stay

  Ive been staying at this hotel for many many years and its the best value for your dollar in Banff. Most place dont even have breakfast food. At times it may be messy in the breakfast area......if you show up right before it closes. People dont care and leave a messy everywhere its not the staff it the lazy people who dont clean up after themselves. If the staff is rude well thats a given in almost every tourist town. Dont worry about bad reviews of this hotel, all in all Ive stayed many places in Banff and its close to downtown and good value for the dollar.

  Front reception stuff is very impolite, bad mannered and even offensive. Girl named X is disgrace for this hotel and manager named X doesn't know anything about his job. Both of them should definitely not be in the service industry. Room was very cold, with broken heating, had to fight to get it fixed or change room. Breakfast area very dirty, food poor, STAFF LOOKS LIKE SOMEBODY FORCED THEM TO BE THERE!!! Overall experience like in very bad hostel for much higher price!! STAY AWAY OF THIS PLACE!!!! Anything else is better!

  Although we made our reservations quite some time ago we had a main floor room with a view of the driveway into the underground parking. There was a little balcony that you could not open the door to (probably for security - the screen looked like it had been cut). Not that there was anything to look at from this vantage point. The front desk staff was somewhat indifferent saying only what needed to be said. No one smiled or greeted us when we came in. Our biggest beef was with the breakfast facilities. Self serve with one person trying to look after keeping the food, cutlery, plates, and napkins filled. At the cereal station there was cereal spilled all over the place with no bowls and/or spoons at any given time. Dirty dishes were to be piled up on the side and a bucket of probably once sudsy water was there for you to drop your cutlery into. The atmosphere was tacky to say the least and set the tone for our whole stay. The only plus is the location as it was a quick walk to downtown and I beleive the housekeeping was quite adequate as far as the rooms are concerned.

  I thought it was on the expensive side. But you're paying for the location because it's within easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. A basic continental breakfast is included in the price. Rooms were clean and comfortable and parking is under the building and secure. The room had a small balcony but faced busy Banff Ave. An elevator was availabe, but was small and cramped when using the cart to and from the garage. If you like more of a city feel, this would be a good choice.
