My husband and I stayed at this hotel 5/28/11-5/29/11. We went for supper and when we came back a maid was coming out of our room. It was weird . She asked if we wanted turn down service and gave us some chocolates. I didn't think they came in unless invited , and at like 6:30pm? Really? She didn't even clean it. Then when we were getting ready to leave I did a final sweep of the room to make sure we had everything. I found some previous guests' silky pair of boxers and paperwork in the dresser drawer. And then I found a mans wedding ring under the bed. It was a nice one, (tungston carbide). We took the ring to the check-out desk,explained where we found it , and told them about the other guests' left paperwork and green boxers we found in our room. We got a thank-you for the ring , but no apology for the obviously bad clean and check job. It would have been nice to recieve a free nights stay for a future trip to Chicago for our honesty and badly cleaned room. I hope the man gets his ring back.

I chose this hotel primarily for its proximity to Roosevelt University. Everything about the hotel was terrific; well worth the room rate. We upgraded our room to include two bathrooms, which is a great option if you're sharing a room with a teenager (especially of the female variety!) Concierge staff was especially helpful, arranging to secure tickets for me - at no additional charge - after I failed to redeem a ticket voucher I had due to a delayed flight.

Wireless access is $*/day. This is way too much for something that competirors offer for free. This charge just made me angry and front desk and managers just did not care. Meals in restaruant and drinks at bar were way overpriced. Drinks at bar were not too good quality for price.

Old, old, old hotel with like a million rooms. I need a scooter to get to my room and the elevators take forever! If you like old buildings, this affordable hotel is for you. It's far south of anyplace I want to see, so what I saved on the room price, I spent on taxis.
