The hotel was overflowing with conventioneers and yet we were given the best of care and attention by all the registration staff. The Asst. Manager, upset at being unable to give us exactly the grade of room we'd reserved, arranged a no charge upgrade on the third and fourth nights, wrote out complimentary breakfast coupons and upon checkout waived our parking fee. The rooms, grounds, lobby, patios and beach were spotless; proximity to three golf courses was a plus.

You've heard this line before, there are great hotels and there are truly great hotels. Marriott Resort on Hilton Head Island is indeed one of the truly great ones. What makes it so IMHO is not the fact that they sport 4 great pools, 3 hot tubs, a very nice restaurant serving world class fare, full service SPA, a daily schedule of activities for adults and children, it's own stretch of a magnificent beach, views from the oceanfront rooms to die for with breathtaking sunsets, is centrally located on the island or the host of other things I've no doubt overlooked in this long list. What makes the Marriott Resort truly great is the unsurpassed service from the people that work there. The evidence of their excellent training and creativity is evidenced from a young Jamaican who serenaded me and my family with Bob Marley songs; he noticed my tee shirt; to the "won't let you walk away unhappy" diligence of XYZ at the front desk on check-in when during my booking I misconstrued the meaning of ocean-front and ocean-view and choose the wrong room. Because of her service with a smile attitude we were able to get the room we wanted after looking at a total of 3 different rooms. Add to that the taking it a step further when she gave us complimentary Internet access and valet parking because of the confusion and you have a truly great hotel experience.

Got married here fantastic rooms and by far the most comfortable bed Ive ever slept in. Had a ton of family stay and they loved it as well. Great pool facility right next to the beach makes it easy if you like to lay on the beach but swim in a pool. Absolutely fantastic. Staff was incredible and people couldnt stop raving about them to us. Couldnt have been happier with our stay and cant wait to get back.

My fiance and I stayed here in April 2009 and have not forgotten the experience over a year later. The staff was courteous and helpful, the room was clean and overlooked the Atlantic Ocean, and hotel's location right off the William Hilton Parkway made day trips very easy and made nighttime a quiet time, except for the sounds of the ocean flowing in. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were very nice and the indoor pool even had movies showing for small kids who weren't swimming. Conroy's was a delicious and elegant meal, but The Cafe was (in my opinion) overpriced for a breakfast buffet considering the options they had available. The only real drawback was the lack of close parking to the main entrances. The parking lot was sufficient but after a day of touring, shopping, and overall walking was a bit of a hike. That said, we didn't stay in the parking lot and enjoyed everything else the Marriott Hilton Head Resort and Spa had to offer.

This Marriott has to have been the best hotel we have stayed at; They spare no expense making everything comfortable. The indoor pool and hot tub (we didn't use the outdoor pool because we stayed in the winter, but the outdoor hot tub was great) , the fitness center, the spa all exceeded expectations. There was even a beautiful giant sand sculpture in the lobby. This hotel clearly looked far and wide for its employees because the staff are the best of the best. I can't wait to stay here again.
