My wife and I selected this hotel thinking because it was a Hilton and overlooked the water that it would be worth spending more money for a room there. We stayed 5 nights for the Christmas holiday while visiting family in Houston. I originally wanted to book this hotel because it advertised that they had the sleep number bed, and figured it was a great way to test it out since we were considering buying one in the next few months. So, we ended up booking a room with a King sized bed that overlooked the water. First, the king bed was not a sleep number bed as advertised, just a pillow-top. The bathroom had a hole over the shower, so we ended up plugging that with a tissue, cause who knows where that hole was going to. They were doing construction that started as early as 9:00 a.m., and two of the days, they even shut off the water without a courtesy heads-up. Luckily I had a bottle of water with me because I had just started washing my hands and had soap I needed to wash off. Hopefully I'm not too picky, but I guess having a mini-fridge in the room or a microwave somewhere to use was out of the question there. We were also on the Pent-house floor and the lounge room on the floor was shut down the whole time we were there. So, after paying for breakfast, $*/person, and internet $* a day. Next time I will pick a nicer place. The place looked nice, but I definitely will not return to this hotel.

I stayed here two nights during the week on the 7th floor and had a very pleasant time. Check in was efficient and very friendly. The elevators are close to the lobby so I did not have to lug my laptop and luggage far. The room was well appointed with a HUGE flatscreen which was great. I had a fantastic view of the lake and jetski rental area downstairs. The gym is on the second floor with brand new cardio equipment with their own tv's, free weights cold water and personal towels. I used the restaurant for breakfast and the bar in the evenings and food was great/drinks perfect. All in all I could not have asked for a more comfortable stay with friendlier staff.

First, we get into the room and the balcony is so small I don't even think it counts as a balcony. Also, I booked a suite and what I ended up getting was a room with two double beds with no fridge or sitting area like I was supposed to have. I didn't get a new room and i didn't get a rate adjustment. The walls are so thin! We were not being loud, simply having a conversation and recieved noise complaints in which the staff said they were going to call the cops which is not at all necessary! We were not doing anything illegal. We decided to leave and go somewhere as to not disturb anybody. When we came back, we all went to bed and one of us went in the bathroom to take a shower. We then recieved another noise complaint when we weren't even speaking! I explained this to the staff, and they were still nothing but rude. In the morning housekeeping came and was rude when we said no thank you. The parking is horrendous! There was only one spot left which was too small for a truck to get into. I would never stay here again! Its only nice on the outside. The rooms and staff are horriblel.

Staff is very nice and welcoming. Rooms are dirty and poorly taken care of. My room had a foul odor (urine). 2 non-working electrical outlets. Needs new door hardware for safety. Walls are paper thin.
