I was in Allentown, PA for one day to speak and sing at a church there. I decided to give this hotel a chance. I am usually not a big fan of Holiday Inn's, but I gave it a chance. I was pleasantly suprised by the hotel. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff and an excellent room. Very clean and the hotel had obviously had a recent face lift. The only downside to it was that it was in the middle of downtown and it didn't seem to be in the safest area. They do have a parking garage next door for $6.00 a day which is very resaonable compared to allot of places that I go. Give it a try. Great hotel for the money. God bless!!!

Mom and I traveled from texas. I think the hotel staff must have somehow known that we were angels coming to do a good deed because they received us with lots of warmth, care and attention. Also, to our surprise the art museum and the historical church were the liberty bell was hidden was so nearby that we could visit the exhibits in the morning and tend to our elderly uncle in the afternoon. When we returned in the evening we could count on a delicious meal in the hotel's restaurant and a comfortable suite. The surrounding area is changing however when we went to get our hair done at the nearby beauty parlor at 7th and gordon we were greeted by cafe latte, plaintains and an exotic carribean feel. Again we were made to feel like queens. We took a chance and went on an urban adventure. The hotel's courtesy van made it all the more easier. Would consider returning with Hubby for a romantic weekend. Gotta see that gorgeous bar.

Undesirable location. Cordial front desk employees. Clean room and bathroom. Bad experience: woke up to find that there was NO WATER! Could not flush toilet, could not wash face, brush teeth, take a shower, make coffee, or take morning pills. Called the front desk and was told to give them 10 minutes. After an hour, my husband and I decided to just go home. Since we made arrangement online no discount could be offered by the hotel. They did provide free parking ($6) for our trouble.

I am from Northern PA. The sticks/ or the middle of nowhere as some might say. I came down to celebrate an early holiday with my family. They suggested I stay at the Crowne Plaza. I am scared of the city, and city people as it is. The Crowne Plaza was so welcoming and understanding of my needs and concerns. The staff ALWAYS had a smile on their faces and eager to help. Not to mention the rooms! They are the largest rooms I ever saw in a hotel! I can't wait to come visit Allentown again....just to visit and learn more. And I recommend the Crowne Plaza 100%.
