Due to my Priority Club Membership, I almost always try and stay at a Holiday Inn and for the most part have not had any bad experiences. However, my stay at this Holiday Inn, Saturday, August 29th was not pleasant. When I first arrived I was told there were no reservations under my name or under the confirmation number given to me by Travel online. I was informed by the woman working HI's front desk that I should not use Travel online because they say they make reservations but then do not. I contacted Travel online and they responded saying they faxed a reservation to the hotel not once, but twice. The front clerk informed me that I was lucky as there were still a couple of rooms left. Once in the room I found many black hairs in the bathroom and a stain on the bed spread. As we left for the Reds game an hour after arrival we walked out into our hallway where a woman in a towel was extremely irate yelling that she had been staying there for a week and a half and now the maid was displacing her and telling her to get out of the room. We left for several hours and returned to the hotel around 8:30 PM. We sat down in the bar area and began playing a game of euchre. There was no gambling or exchange of money going on, just a friendly game of cards. After playing for over an hour a male manager of HI came over and told us to stop playing immediately saying that it was illegal. He was very rude and handled the situation with no finesse or kindness.

This hotel looks like most other Holiday Inns I've stayed in. It doesn't have the trendy updates like Hilton or Sheraton, but it is simple, nice, and consistent. Looks a little dated, but not unappealing. It was also quiet for the most part. No noise from other rooms, but could hear some activity in the hall. As a whole, it was quieter than most hotels I've stayed it. I also was very appreciative of the free parking. Most hotels around downtown Cinci make you pay for parking.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and there wasn't a person that didn't smile or say hi to us in the halls, at the desk, or even out in the parking lot. They were so friendly! The front desk agents were able to direct us to some great restaurants within walking distance. We took a shuttle from the hotel to the Bengal's stadium and they let us keep our vehicle in the lot and locked up our luggage until we returned from the football game. It was very convenient. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay!

Hotel is not on the river, if that's what you're looking for. It is across the Oh river from DT Cincinnati, but no views of the river or DT are available. Rooms are small, but clean. Nice outdoor pool and nice fitness room. Small business room with computer, printer, fax, paper. Nice people at the front desk; easy entrance to freeway; quiet, old neighborhood, quite a few places to eat you can walk to, but they have their own restraurant; good buffet breakfast. Nothing fancy here, but adequate for a place to sleep.
