Newly renovated hotel has a beautiful lobby , the room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We will difinately stay there again the next time we visit El Paso.

The rooms, restaurant, pool we all very nice. However, the staff was very misleading and uncoordinated. They did not tell us there was an elevator, even though we clearly had several pieces of luggage to carry, so we had to carry them up several stairs to building #8. The shuttle service was a joke. We were told you could not reserve the shuttle, but everytime we went to the desk to request a ride, we had to wait 30-40 minutes because someone had reserved it. We once spent an hour and 15 minutes on the shuttle because the desk was so uncoordinated. Also, when you ask one front desk person something, you get a completely different answer if you ask a different front desk person. We were told 3 different shuttle "operations" from 3 different people on the desk staff, it was like no one really knew how the shuttle operated. They just didnt seem to communicate very well, which is necessary for good customer service. I will never stay there again!

The room was clean and fresh each day when I came back from the horse show. This in spite of the state that I left it each morning. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly, and went out of their way to retrieve an item we had left after check-out. The pool is well maintained and at a great temperature, as is the hot water section. The restaurant was good, and again the staff very helpful. They have recently redecorated the lobby and the restaurant and it makes it look more vibrant and fresh. It has easy access to the race track, the casino, shopping, restaurants (countless restaurants are withing 2 miles), and the freeway. Parking easily accomodates a 1-ton dually truck. My favorite place to stay when I'm in this part of El Paso!

Be careful about making a reservation here unless you are absolutely sure there is no chance of cancellation. I was charged an entire night even though I cancelled my resrvation 36 hours before check-in. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again due to this inflexible, mean-spirited policy
