We stayed at this Holiday Inn to attend a 4 day class at the Seminary. We were very pleased with our room. It was clean, nicely decorated and quiet. The heating system was quiet and worked. I bring this up because we stayed at a different location the first night because we couldn't get a room here and it was clean, but the heater was either hot or cold. No in between. Breakfast was adequate and more than you get at many places. Only complaint is that the coffee was very weak and I dont even like strong coffee. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. They were doing some renovations downstairs but they really attempted to not disturb the guests. Wish there were good restaurants to choose from. Best place in town is actually the Ashland University Convocation Center (cafeteria) A bit pricey but well worth it and it is all you can eat. They are known for their food service excellence and it shows! It is open to the public. Wish price was a less considering you are in Ashland, Ohio!

This hotel is saving pennies every chance they get. We reserved a room with a refrigerator and a microwave. The freezer door was broken off and missing and the freezer was in serious need of defrosting. The shower did have the good shower head that they bragged on - but no water pressure. When set to pulse, the shower dribbbled straight down. When on spray, it was fine , but difficult to get the soap off as there was not much water. We never ran out of hot water. We rented the suite (our anniversity). One kng bed, one dresser (not 2), 1 couch, 1 table (in place of a desk) and one desk chair. The couch was a hide-a-bed but not comfortable to sit on. There was only one chair - a sttandard office chair. No comfortable arm chairs. most of the walls were bare without pictures (1 picture & 1 mirror). Excellent breakfast and good housekeeping. I would not use the whirlpool as the jets were dirt caked. Not a bad place to stay for $* to $* per night but a rip off at $* per night.
