So I read the reviews before I booked this hotel and I viewed all the pictures. This hotel is clean and quaint but that's about it. If you want something relatively close to restaurants and things to do, this is NOT the hotel for you. My boyfriend and I knew as soon as we arrived that it was basic and that's about it. It's about a mile away from any sort of restaurant or night club or any shop.We walked everywhere we went to avoid the expensive taxi and bus rates that would occur over our 10-day trip. However, there are a few family-owned stores in the area but serve only the basic materials. The staff is friendly and committed to giving you a clean room daily. However, they don't understand some things fully. We had a "no molestar" (privacy please) magnet on the door and they continued to knock each day until we opened the door. The doors are wafer thin and you can hear everything from the outside and the other rooms. You can hear as much as the person upstairs flushing the toilet. The bathroom is extremely small and the room is just a basic room. The rate is low but this is probably due to the lack of special details. While walking from the hotel to any restaurants we had to pass a water treatment plant and it STUNK everywhere we went. The pool is beautiful but pretty shallow if you want to do some real swimming. The beach is pretty far away. They have wireless internet for laptops but it is a bit slow, if that matters. To get back from the airport, it costs $12 US dollars per person from a shuttle. Nice but not extravagant.

Well they gave us a room for the night for our problems so we could talk to the manager. When we talked to the manager she said someone should have called me either from reservations or from the hotel saying the card number they had was inactive. They had all my contact information and if they would have called or writing or emailed we could have made proper arrangements but since I thought all was well. So when we finally talked we had to end up calling my friends father and embarrrasing us to ask him to loan us the money do you know how much stuff we had to deal with because of that. The people at the hotel were great but those that make sure the money was there made our overall experience horrible.

I reserved a room through your website and selected the pay in full option and used my debit card. I called them twice once in January when I reserved the room, and once a month later. and the last time I asked them to make sure that the bill was paid in full because I recieved a confirmation email from the website saying it was paid in full. I have the email from that even still were I had the rep. send me an email stating just that. I also recieved 2 more confimation emails from your website said that I paid in full and I can not get a refund for the room and I still have those. I have 4 emails stating that i paid my account in full. Well we were satisfied that our room was reserved and paid for because we even recieved an email the day before we left. So we left for mexico and arrived there on the 8th of march 2009 and went to check in and they told me the room has not been paid for. well i then got on the laptop and pulled up the emails the guy at the counter didnt understand why you would send me an email when the debit declined since they waitied to charge it untill a cpl weeks before my stay and i had my card stolen like 3 weeks before my stay and switched my card. we all withdrew all but our spending money on our accounts before we left for safety concerns. Well they gave us a room for the night for our problems so we could talk to the manager. we stayed at this hotel for one night prior to checking into our condo for the week. It was clean and spacious and met our needs for a short time. They provided a substantial buffet breakfast beside the pool and the food was very good. The location left a little to be desired - the concierge told us that downtown was a 15 minute walk but after walking for a half hour along the highway we finally caught the bus for the rest of the way, and we took a cab back. The location would be terrific if you wanted to be out of the way and spend time at a decent hotel on a nice property in a somewhat secluded neighborhood. All in all it was a good value for the price and we would go again for a short stay.
