Very pleased with the food - breakfast buffet was great; freshly cooked, warm and not soggy. Dinner was a very pleasant surprise. Both nights, food rated at "A". Veggies cooked al dente, steak cooked med rare. Pasta Prima Vera, vegies cooked al dente with tons of veggies:) Service was friendly and caring. Would stay again....

09/11/2010Being situated close to the grand canyon, it was disturbing that we could not get literature or guides. staff was not helpful, pleasant but not helpful.

I was a little worried about this hotel after reading all the bad reviews, but our stay was actually quite plesant. The rooms were pretty average. I would compare them to rooms in moderate Las Vegas hotels like Excalibur. The only cons were that the resturant was really over priced. The price of a kids meal was * We had a * room credit so it balanced out but we only ate there one meal. The only other thing was that we were surprised to find out that the indoor pool was not heated. The pros were that the staff was great! The location was great as well and the rooms were clean. We would stay there again.

Do not stay at this hotel! Don't be fooled by its faux 'rustic' appearance; it's a sham. It is the worst hotel I've stayed at in years: 1. Poorly maintained 2. Dirty hallways. 3. Absolutely worst hotel bed I've slept in in years. 4. Incredibly, nothing in the room about the hotel's amenities (location of ice, fitness room, hours of pool, etc.) or safety features (except for the room advisory on the back of the door). Never have I encountered a hotel with nothing about it in the room. When I enquired about such a document at the front desk, I was told that management had been working on one for about a year! 5. No refrigerator. 6. Latch to door to back entrance completely inoperative, allowing entrance to hotel by anyone at anytime. 7. This hotel is such a rip-off I am trying to terminate my stay after one night and stay somewhere else.
