On a late night drive to return home we drove several extra miles to stay at this Holiday Inn Express in Hope based on reputation of the chain. We were extremely disappointed. The hotel was a bit dated but not horrible, the biggest issues being that we were bitten by fleas the whole night and the horrible customer service. I received a call to my room for a complaint by the person in charge of the hotel about my son jumping. I didn't mind the call because I was getting on him to stop but their tone was very short and rude considering he had only been doing it for a minute or so and this was the first call to complain about it. I'm still a customer and expect to be treated with some basic respect. Later when checking I told the same person about our flea bites they were unaplogetic and acted like it wasn't possible since they had just sprayed the room earlier in the week and just kept saying it was a pet friendly hotel. They seemed to act as if I was making the story up and even asked that I show them my bites. Since most were on my legs and back and they were behind the counter it was difficult to show them my bites and I felt like they totally dismissed my complaint. I've had pets my whole life and know what flea bites feel like. Horrible customer service and flea infested. Stay away from this hotel.

If you're traveling to Hope, you don't have much of a choice when it comes to hotels. This one was probably the best of all of them. The hotel is older, but the staff was very nice.

We came with rest and fun in mind. The hotel was excellent. Clean, good breakfast, friendly people and great rooms. Wireless internet in rooms to catch up on work in the evening. We visited Crater of Diamond Park. (About 45 min drive) but worth the drive for the hotel. I have stayed here many times years ago but I don't remember it being this nice. They have really improved. They allow pets too.
