I booked a room at Holiday Inn Express expecting a nice sized room, however, the room was way smaller than expected, considering the fact that it was supposed to be something similar to King-Executive, I was expecting a larger room and bed, however, it seemed smaller than usual. Other than that, the surroundings were quite, although the outside scenery wasn't all that great to look at (was a parking lot), staff assisted me in a timely manner where there were issues with the t.v. and remote not working. Overall, nice experience, would I go back? Probably, but I wouldn't want to pay as much as I did for the room I received.

The room was assigned on third floor close to elevator. We could hear every single sound from people going in and out of the elevator and cars passing by through the window all night. None of us had much sleep at night. Service was good, however, we will not stay here again.

The noise will never stop - between the intoxicated people in the parking lot and the service people in the hallways. One will end at about 4 and the other will start about 6. Do not plan on being able to sleep if you stay in this hotel. The room looks great. The bed is fairly comfortable for a not at home bed. The front desk staff was very helpful. BUT - once the sun started to set and the nightlife started to happen, there was yelling and screaming and all sorts of noise. The local nightlife of Westport is a few minutes walk away and you may be approached by people looking for money. (we were) Once we got into a slightly better location, we did find the better nightlife, but we could not actually obtain any sleep in our hotel.

Stayed 2 nights with teenage volleyball team. This is definitely NOT an appropriate location for children or teens. Several guests were locals who book rooms here as a place to crash after a night of bar-hopping. Lots of inebriated guests coming in at all hours of the early morning. Parking is free, but a nightmare after the bars get rolling. Had to park several blocks away at 9:00pm. My room smelled of cigarettes and urine, but could not get another room because the hotel was "overbooked" according to the desk clerk. The room was very plain, the tv remote did not work and the air conditioner had to run continuously to keep room at a moderate temperature. Requested wake-up call did not occur. Breakfast food was OK. Staff was nice

I stayed in this hotel while on a business trip and was very satisfied. Very clean, good location, nice size room. I would definitely recommend this hotel over any of the other hotels I have stayed in KC.
