This hotel was booked by my travel agent. I did not know that the hotel was being renovated and that it was located in a rough area of town. There was a beat up motor home and graffitti on the building across from the hotel. A homeless man was lurking in the bead shop next door to the property. 06/21/2009We reall enjoyed this hotel. the room was very clean. the breakfast saved us at least $150.00 the breakfast consisted of omlettes or scrambled eggs and bacon or sauasge ...
We reall enjoyed this hotel. The room was very clean. The breakfast saved us at least $150.00 The breakfast consisted of omlettes or scrambled eggs and bacon or sauasge with ceral,toast, bagels, and yogurt. They did not run out either. It was always well stocked. We did find that the earlier the better for eating breakfast. Only 7 tabels so fills up quick. The hotel was centrally located to all attractions. We stayed here 6 days and would stay here again. As far as tips for this area. If you are not used to Claifornia driving defenitely rent a GPS with you car rental. It was a life-saver for us. Our other Tips would be if you're spening more than 3 days, purchase a GO San Diego card. It pays for all your tickets in advance. It does not cover Sea World but everyting else.

The hotel was clean and the service there was excellent, whenever we needed help the front desk was nice and prompt. Breakfast was from 6-9 so we really didnt eat there much. Covered parking made me feel more secure leaving my car there overnight. The only negatives I have for this place are that it is right in front of a 'shady' looking thrift store, so at night I never wanted to go out alone and that there was a little part of the room had not been finished being painted, but we hardly spent any time at the hotel, overall it was a good buy. Up the road is an olive garden and a bunch of fast food places, so you will never go hungry!
