The desk clerk the morning of our departure Jan. 16 was very nice and accomodating. But the hotel is old, musty smelling and is in NO WAY deserving of the travel agency's 3-star rank. I would not stay here again or recommend it. Very disappointed!

The hotel is situated in such a way that if you aren't coming in from the correct direction, there is no way to turn into the hotel. We drove around four times before getting into the parking lot. It is also situated right next to a cemetery, which was kind of weird. The hotel was under construction due to water damage, which was not noted when I booked the room. I accidentally booked a smoking room and was unable to get it changed, but would have been charged a whole night's stay to have canceled, and since we paid online they wouldn't let us pay for an upgrade to a non-smoking suite, which they did have available. When we got there, the first room we were given had a family of ants in the bathroom. We were moved to a second room that was freezing cold and the heater didn't work and they had no maintenance or housekeeping people working to help fix it. We were moved to a third room where we ended up staying. It reeked so badly that even the stuff in our suitcase (which we kept closed as much as possible) ended up smelling of stale smoke. I chose a Holiday Inn Express because they're usually pretty nice, but I guess that is just the new ones, not older hotels that have been converted to one. On the plus side, the girl at the front desk was very nice and truly did seem to be trying to do what she could to help us find a satisfactory room.

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express Suites was wonderful! The staff at the hotel was so freindly and helpful! My room was great, it was comfortable, and clean, and the breakfast each morning was a terrific plus! I would stay here again if I were in the area without a hesitation! Thanks, Holiday Inn, it was a pleasure to be in your hotel!

I stayed in a suite with a jacuzzi tub. The tub was great and a good size. The suite was only an additional $* when I booked the room. The room was large and clean. I had a nice view of the cemetery next door. The road to the entrance goes one way and I had to keep passing it and making u-turns to get in. The continental breakfast sucked and stay away from the cinnamon buns. It was nice place but the jacuzzi made up for a lot.
