I did quite a bit of research and thought this would be the best place to stay. It was OK. It was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was good, but very crowded. We used the pool several times. The staff kept opening the windows in the pool room, which made it really cold (outside temp was in the 50's). We kept closing them, and someone would come in and reopen them. Seemed like a security problem as well as an inconvenience to the swimmers. We also had a little problem with noise from traffic outside. I saw reviews for other hotels that complained of traffic noise, but not this one. We requested a quiet room and were given one in the middle of the floor (not a particularly quiet room). It also had a TINY bathroom, which we discovered later was due to the location of the laundry chute, cutting into our vanity area of the bathroom. Other than that, the location was good. There is a Cracker Barrel and a Taco Bell just steps away from the front door. The hotel seemed to be clean and in good repair.

We chose this hotel primarily because of the excellent ratings it already had/ We were not disappointed at all. First, the location is pretty decent if you're going to go to Rock City/Ruby Falls. It's at the base of the mountain and very close to both places. It's also a short drive to all of the downtown attractions. We were greeted by very pleasant staff at the desk and everyone actually put effort into making certain we were being taken care of the entire time. The room was put back in order and cleaned for our return at the end of each day (we stayed four days). Each morning we were able to eat a hot breakfast. The menu alternated between scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, pancakes and more. In the room, we enjoyed free wi-fi to help us plan each days' activities. The rates were a bit pricy, but our "no-problem" stay made up for it. We'd come back anytime. As far as attractions to see, we'd recommend the aquarium, Rock City and Ruby Falls. The zoo was just okay (but only $6) and the ChooChoo was a disappointment.

Everything about the hotel was very nice. All employees were very nice and friendly. Breakfast was great. By far the best breakfast I have had at a hotel. Rooms were very clean. Beds were very comfy and loaded with pillows, both soft and firm.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. I was given map of area, told they had dining information if needed. Was directed to a great movie theatre across town with directions highlighted on map. The hotel was very clean, bed and linens were soft and comfortable. Room was equipped with microwave oven, dorm fridge, coffee pot, desk, chairs. Very spacious and quiet at night despite hotel being pretty full. High speed internet was nice. Great location near all of the area attractions, and a Cracker Barrel across the street. Local newspaper was in front of my door each morning. The heating/cooling in the room worked very well, and there was plenty of hot water each morning. Eggs, sausage, warm cinnamon buns, nice assortment of fresh baked biscuits and other pastries, donuts, fruit, juice, yogurt, cereal assortment for breakfast each day. Dining staff very courteous, and even let in a few late stragglers stating they were probably hungry. Lobby has great tasting coffee 24 hours a day. This was an excellent hotel and I will definitely stay there again. There is a small indoor pool as well.
