Absolutely NEVER again!!! Do NOT stay here!!!

Checked in at 3:00. Ordered room service, sat down to eat. 10 min later, 2 tiny bugs were crawling on me. Got up, looked down. Pillows, mattress, sheets had little bugs crawling. Called front desk; asked to have manager come up immediately. 3 min later someone from maintenance shows up. I show him the bugs and he says, "Yes, they are bugs. I see them." I tell him this is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. He says he is sorry. Then he says, "So do you want to stay?" I said, "Stay??? In a room where there are bugs in the bed???" He says, "Well, some people do." That statement has two implications. First: This hotel serves people that have no objections to staying in rooms infested with bugs. Now, I may not be rich or famous, but even two and three star hotels, while having less amenities, should be expected to be clean and bug free. Second: Other travelers have encountered this problem at this hotel and the hotel has failed to resolve the issue. No more king rooms were available. They offered a double room. I certainly wasn't going to stay in another room in the same building. They offered to put me in a suite, but since I wasn't the one paying, I needed to authorize it with the individual paying since it was a different rate. I was packing my things, figuring I was going to move into a suite and deal with the payment issue the next day, when I looked down and saw the same little bugs in my bag that was on the floor. Closer inspection showed they were in my shoes, on the chair, in the carpet. I checked out at 7:10. Filing complaint with Holiday Inn. Do NOT stay here!

Hotel is located next to a busy and noisy freeway. Property is really showing it's age, and needs to be upgraded. My room a King Suite was a good size, but the phone wasn't working properly, so never got any of the wake-up calls that I asked for. Placed a breakfast order, and it got to my room an hour later than specified, and it was the wrong order. The front desk staff was friendly and accomodating. Even after I checked out, they allowed me to use the business center for a few hours since I had a later flight.
