Checked in and was told they only had smoking rooms left but that they deoderize after every night. Walked into the room and my eyes start to water from the smoke smell. I was travelling with my 4 yr old, 3 yr old, and 4 month old. Should have left but I didn't. the front desk was not very nice about the situation at all and offered no help at all. Plus my shower was broken and had to have it fixed which took a half hour during my kids bed time. Travelling parents know what I am taking about :) Don't know if I will ever stay at a holiday inn again if they allow smoking in the rooms.

Stayed at Holiday Inn Universal Orlando to visit Universal Studios. The hotel is within a mile walk to Universal Studios, not terrible bad when it is not hot and watch the weather for rain. Our room was very basic, no frig or microwave. There was mold on the ceiling and the bathroom tub finish was coming off. The hallways smelled like a sweaty gym. Hotel does not have complimentary breakfast. You can get breakfast at the TGI Fridays that is attached to the hotel for $10. The breakfast is a buffet and very minor. Little pricey for the the meal. Pool was pretty nice. One day, house keeping forgot to clean our room and it took me 30 minutes just to get clean towels after walking back in the rain. If you are just looking for something close to Universal and do not care about services or room, then this would be the place to stay.

IT'S A DIRTY HOTEL TO STAY WITH KIDS
06/03/2009On 5/30/2009 i stay there with my 3 kids and it was very dirty bathroom nasty need to be remodel room smell i will never stay there again........
ON 5/30/2009 I STAY THERE WITH MY 3 KIDS AND IT WAS VERY DIRTY BATHROOM NASTY NEED TO BE REMODEL ROOM SMELL I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN........
