  I wanted to stay in the hotel circle where all the hotels are grouped together because that is where my daughters basketball team was staying. This Holiday Inn is not even close and I had to take the 15 freeway (north) to get there. I was then given room 217. It was horrible. Only had one small window that viewed an ugly back roof. As such the room was dark. When any equipment came on the bed backboard would rattle against the wall. If you are visiting San Diego and its sires this is not the location for you.

  i was surprised with how nice this hotel was. It's a good location with shopping within walking distance and big attractions a few short minutes away. The rooms were clean and our stay was peaceful. The restaurant in the hotel has terrific food, much better than I expected. The only problem I had with the hotel was the staff at the front desk. Some of them were friendly, but others were rather rude. There were a few times in which I had a difficult time communicating with them and getting them to understand what I wanted (such as calling a cab). One evening I had called the hotel to see if their shuttle was available and after asking a few questions that the employee on the phone seemed to find difficult to answer, I was put on hold and soon after hung up on. I called back and she immediately asked if I could be put on hold. I was about to refuse, but she put me on hold before I could say anything. Other than a few hardships with the staff, it was overall a fairly nice stay and I would stay here again if I was in the area.

  I was here for only one night, but found the staff to be very friendly. The room (2 queens) was generous, but I was disappointed that the carpet was a little dirty, and the toilet didn't function properly (I could remedy the situation myself). The breakfast buffet was okay. There were plenty of options on it. There were several fast food restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. I don't travel to San Diego much, but this hotel was booked for me by the company I was visiting. On my next trip out, I will look at other (less expensive) options.

  This hotel was very nice, clean, no problems at all. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly. The restaurant provided a breakfast buffet which was convenient and also children were free. The hotel was in a nice area, about 10 minutes away from Sea World and only 5 minutes away from a Mission. We would return here.

  Parking is cramped. Breakfast in the restaurant was okay. The waitress was outstanding. We had called in the afternoon to see if it was okay if we did a late checkin. The clerk said ""No problem"". But it was. We got there after 8 PM and they told us there were no Kings left and downgraded us. I was tired and didn't take it kindly. Okay. I went Donald Duck on the front desk clerk. We ended up in a nice room with two queen beds. It really was okay but it took a couple of hours for me to get over it. I was tired and grouchy, after all. Nuf sed.
