The hotel is good and the service is great. Its close to the downtown and walking distance to all tourist spots. After seeing the area and talking to some people we came to know that Midtown Atlanta is the most happening place in Atlanta city if you are a party goer. Plus the downtown area becomes little shady after 9 pm. But if you are a tourist and looking to see touristy places, this is the place for you.. The hotel is good though. We had to pay $* per day extra for onsite parking.

Overall we were satisfied with our stay. However, we were on a budget and no where on their website was it mentioned that parking was not included and that it was pretty pricey. The front desk check in process was also less than satisfying. The desk clerk was on a phone call the entire time. She was rude and barked her questions while checking us in. She also was not paying attention to what she was doing because she ended up charging us three times the cost of parking for each night. The check out process was 100% better. The staff was highly attentive and corrected the parking charges quickly and politely. The restaraunt was over priced and our food was cold. Room was clean and comfortable. Good hotel for a short stay, but would not consider it for longer than a couple of nights.

While the hotel was a good location, it was rather dated and "clean" but not CLEAN... The corners of the bathrooms were dirty and the floors were stained and old and needed to be replaced several years ago.... While We enjoyed a friendly staff and overall good experience.... The bartender at the bar made last call right as we walked in and proceeded to sell us 10 beers in a bucket for $* dollars. He said it was the standard price. He pocked the money in it's entirety and as we walked away a patron informed us that he overcharged us by * dollars. Little things like that tend to rub a person the wrong way. We were also informed that check in was not allowed before 4 pm.... So I booked the room for the night before as well knowing we would be arriving very early in the morning long before check in.... The desk attendant told us that had we booked only one night and then called and told them we would be getting there very early, we could have went ahead and taken the room. She said corporate tells people that to get more money. Had we booked the room directly from the hotel. it would have been * per night, it was barely if even worth the * a night we payed. In all our experience in Atlanta was a bit shocking as it is a VERY slummy town from top to bottom, the police there have LOUSY undercover cops and they take measures to insure scalping or buying scalped tickets at concerts VERY serious and go to extreme measures to stop it. Not to concern us, we already had tickets to the AWESOME Roger Waters show. Will never go back to atlanta tho.
